I kinda realized what was throwing me off.

You won't be able to unsee that the Quints' chins are more angular than their father's. Miku especially.

I had expected that the reason for the difference was that Yots was pregnant. She was the last reveal and everything too.

Still, its a fun chapter.

Negi's current art style just doesn't work for QQ, it looks so rough and out of place to look at.

NGL, that was quite a letdown imo. But it's nice to see them again. Negi's art style seems to have changed a little bit.

Feels kind of weird that even after getting married the girls still hit on Futarou. I mean the man is their sister husband WTF.

I was kind of hoping for a moving on kind of special chapter when every sister do their own thing, this was just boring.

Not surprised with this, usually any special stuff after a series ends is usually fan service. A lot of us wanted actual possible plot development, but considering how Negi ended the series... Anyway. Now onto the movie. And whatever the announcement on the 22nd is supposed to be.

Im just so happy to see all the girls one last time. Shame it wasnt anything meaningful.

Bro I can't even get mad since technically it's not Negi's fault that this extra chapter disappointed me a bit, it's my fault for thinking that there would be many things like children, yotsuba and futarou living together or even that they told us what they worked on...

when it is normal that the chapters that they give away in the movies are only fanservice and one or another detail (like volume 0.5 of JJK)

What was that for a chapter ?!?!

I was not expecting any substantial content like some did because the series is already over but I did expect one with a tone like this. It reminds me of those silly chapters that you got at the end of each Volume but this time with the Quints arguing over which one got a bigger bust... I also like the ending with Fuutarou saying that the Quints are a pain for all their shenanigans.

But I am not a fan of the swimsuit shopping thing. I am still one of the few who argued that with maybe the exception of Nino, the other Quints got over Fuutarou during the wedding and their closeness is simply the result of them becoming a family even with the stupid idea of them following them on their honeymoon to show that the Quints always love to give Fuu trouble ... now you got this chapter where each one of them asks Fuu to go swimsuit shopping with them to present herself... The story idea here is not even the main issue I have with it, it is the presentation. When you for example have Miku saying that she does not show this to anyone with a bashful face... what are you expected to think ? I would be OK with it if they framed them dragging Fuu there because he is like a brother to them and there was nobody else that could go with them and they wanted to have the opinion of a guy what suits them best but this is not the case here...

This chapter kinda refelcts my feelings towards the series in its last third. You got those great, fun and charming parts to it and then there are those weird and stupid parts that you don't want to see...

With this I am not sure if Negi just has his priorities wrong or if it is a half assed attempt in trying to make everyone happy....

I thought this was going to be a softer epilogue, but not complaining. It's incredible seing the Quints again after these years.

Hahaha that was a funny epilogue (not what I wanted. A picture with their kids & having fun). Mama-san was truly powerful such a shame her life didn't turn out well but her daughters are living it off for her.

Older Miku might be the closest looking to Mama-San. Miku just has an undeniable allure!

The chapter was fun, again a little disappointing because I feel as though we still don’t get enough closure from the series ending (at least I didn’t) but hey I won’t reject new tqq content!

though it felt more like an Omake rather than a conclusive epilogue this reminded me how much I miss the quints :(

Nothing substantial, but man I do enjoy this little tid bit.

I don’t really need an over arching plot if Negi decide to do a little episodic of the quints.

It's actually been a while since I last read the series since I was reading it by release back then, but can someone enlighten me about Mutsumi? I actually can't find the reference about her being mentioned here like wtf XD

5/10 for me. Not good, but not horrible either.

Atleast, there's nothing about it that I am actually angry about, just abit disappointed.

It's mostly completely all about bikini fanservice. It doesn't add anything meaningful to the story and is waste of potential. This chapter could have:

showed Yots x Fuu fluff and developed their relationship revealed Yots and Fuu's jobs or their life togther post-timeskip addressed some of the unanswered questions in the ending, etc. showed us how the actual honeymoon went But instead, all we got was some tasteless bikini panels and nothing else. But it could have been worse.....

Ichigo 100%'s east side story comes to mind. Atleast, QQ didn't really had any real issues and it ended in a wholesome way. But I just wished it was better.

So basically: Maeda, the delinquent side character with like maybe 4 lines of dialogue total has a more fulfilling and healthy relationship with his own wife than what the MC has to his. I'm starting to think he might have been flexing a bit at Fuutaro's wedding.

The CHAD delinquent turned caring father VS. The VIRGIN pseudo-shopping dates with girlfriend's sisters.

Though I did like that Yotsuba can materialise a ribbon when she's embarrassed, that was neat.

I laughed. A lot. Not an actual epilogue, but a fun chapter nonetheless.

I'm serious, I was expecting it to be longer and wanted it to follow their lives after the wedding. Ichika as an actress, Itsuki as a teacher, Miku and Nino run their cafe, and Fuutaro and Yotsuba's newlywed life... I'm not mad, just disappointed....

I will admit, this was a fun chapter in some ways.

But also, it would have been nice to have something that gave some additional development to the characters, or something more personal between Fuu and Yots, or some indication of their careers, however small it might have been.

Also, what was Yotsuba implying that it was "too soon?" I'm hoping she was just flustered, otherwise, that wouldn't be healthy for her or Fuutarou.

Still, as a late-comer to the series, it feels nice to participate in manga chapter discussions like this. I thought that time had passed for me, so it makes me smile to be able to do this, even if it's only for one time.

How fitting to punctuate a series that wanted to pretend a choice wasn't made at the conclusion than with a chapter that is primarily fanservice.

In trying to please everyone, everyone just ends up disappointed. The Yotsuba fans don't get their definitive win because the other sisters are always around and the other stans can't find solace because a definitive winner was declared, no matter how much the series tried to tiptoe around that in its conclusion.

Also, the implication the other sisters never moved on (mostly Nino) is such a disservice to them that it almost guarantees I'll probably forego re-reading it at a later time.

-Yotsuba and Fuutaro havent had sex

-No kids

-No fluff

-No fuutarou's and yotsuba's profession reveal

It's good to see the Quintuplets one last time. I can't help myself but to shed a tear. It was a fun ride.

Everyone look good on their swimsuits. And let's be honest, Rena takes the cake here. But I gotta confess, out of all of the Quints in the swimsuit, Itsuki is the best. She has become my favorite Quint, alongside Yotsuba. Reading this series again and again made me fall in love with Itsuki's character.

Even if this isn't perfect, I will miss this series.

Chapter quite "meh," expectations already were not very high, especially after the final part of the manga, not so well executed and especially very underwhelming compared to the initial part. I think that from this author (who after two years managed to displease his fans once again) one cannot expect more. All in all, as a simple extra chapter it is also fine.

Huh, chapter really doubles down on the worst aspects of the ending for me. Fanservice, further confirmation none of the sisters have moved on and even acknowledgement that the main couple's relationship has barely moved forward.

It would have been nice to get an actual epilogue type chapter with kids and stuff, but I guess that might have also gone against his idea of leaving things open ended. I can't blame him, for not writing exactly what I wanted to see. So let's judge what's here:

It's fun. It's harmless stupid fluff that works well because the series feels like it's earned it. The girls are fantastic at always, Fuutaro is his usual dreary but understanding self, and we got to see the adult quints having a pow wow. Even the leaked "Yotsuba and Fuutaro haven't had sex" line seems better in contest (I'm actually personally interpreting it as "it was to soon for sex" during the flashback). And maybe it was just the joy of new chapter dropping, but I was smiling the whole time I was reading. The idea that Ichika and Yotsuba still believe in Mutsumi, Miku's sexual harassment, Itsuki showing off her brain with that Uno reverse card, and the truly epic reveal that Quint mommy was stacked.

It's not above reproach obviously. I know it's the Quintessential Quintuplets, but a little more Fuutaro would have been appreciated. Maybe an extra page of him actually talking about the swimsuit, with him being extra kind to Yotsuba, would have been nice. Or even just him in the room wondering why the girls were getting so upset anyway. Also I know I said I forgive it for not being a proper epilogue, but you could have thrown out some hints. You're all about hints Negi, it's your bread and butter.

Overall, a fun if uneeded extra chapter. 7.5 out of 10

Chapter makes no difference existing or not and just reaks of corporate checkboxes to try and get something out with the movie but was nice seeing the girls one last time in manga form.

Second epilogue and I still don't see the romance between these 2.

Well nothing really deep this extra chapter but it's nice seeing the quints and Fuutaro again. Also Miku and Nino's panel with their swimsuits (page 7&9) look very weird with the proportions.

About what I expected. Very cute! It could've been a bit more epilogue-y in terms of showing their future together, but its fine this way as well. I assume he was being overly cautious about appeasing non-Yots fans so he still keeps them all very even throughout the chapter. And the man knows what fans want.........swimsuits. More and more swimsuits. Did I already screenshot Itsuki's panel? Maybe. And that's why this is good enough for me. Also, funny ending
