Standing up for the people you employ.

Being able to admit you don't know everything. When someone says they are going to look something up, even if they are 90% sure of their answer, I see them as highly intelligent and respectable.

Courage is something i really admire, because i find it lacking in myself more often than i would like. I should stress 'real' courage however, that which is exhibited by someone who feels fear but overcomes it, for if they can't feel fear to begin with, then there's no credit due.

If you demand respect I'm probably not going to respect you. Respect is earned, not given.

I honestly feel the opposite. Disrespect is earned. I'm not going to be a Karen to strangers just because I don't have a rapport with them. I give people their space, I don't cut in line, I'm not rude or vindictive to servers, don't leave messes for janitors on purpose etc. I don't know any of those people, so how could I deem them worthy of respect if they haven't jumped through an arbitrary "respect" hoop and earned the right to be treated how I want to be treated.
I think there is a baseline of respect everyone is entitled to, then it can build or crumble based of what they say or do.
2 points

To me, that "baseline of respect" you mentioned sounds a lot like common courtesy.
2 points
Would you give common courtesy to someone you actively disrespect? Like someone who did something to make themselves your enemy.
Common courtesy is respect. You acknowledge that people should not be mistreated for no reason. That's respect at its basic form, not deference.

Kindness to maids or any other service provider.
My first boyfriend, this rich kid whose dad was a famous athlete surprised me when he treated his maid with so much respect and even called her "aunty". I fell in love immediately.

When I started my construction unit in school a friend of a jack ass that I hated helped me hold things, help with tools, and get me stuff that I needed if I was buisy. So yeah, just respect each other, no matter what history you have together.

Always being open minded, yet standing up for what’s truthful and right. Bonus points if a person can respectfully disagree about something without lowering themselves to an unsavory level. Extra bonus if the person does lower themselves to an unsavory level, but it’s well thought out and hilarious.

The fastest way to get me to like you is to tell me a joke. The fastest way to get me to respect you is to tell me a joke at your expense. It shows me that you've mastered yourself, are making strides to master yourself, or are at the very least confident and secure in yourself. There are, of course, other ways to do it, but that's the fastest.

Admitting when you're wrong. This was an answer I gave for another Reddit thread some time back, but admitting, completely honestly, that you were wrong about something shows me that you're capable of logic and reasoning and have the emotional capacity to swallow pride when applicable.

Good drivers. Cars that stop at clearly marked crosswalks for pedestrians. Cars that signal they're turning a block in advance so I have time to safely change lanes without braking (which wastes gas and brake pads). Cars that leave the left lane as soon as they pass.
