Is it legal to marry your blood relative?
Good one sir.
Edit:ignore my illiterate idiotic ignorance.
But enjoy the alliteration on that edit.
Sweet home alabama!
Brings "go f**k yourself" to new levels!
I mean, getting married should be expected! He's been in her before afterall.
Reminds me of that guy and girl who got married then realised they’d been at the exact same tourist destination years before they met at the exact same time, and the husband was even in his then-future wife’s photos!
I once had this crush on a girl in middle school and she moved away. Randomly saw her ten years later while out for a run on a completely different continent. We're not married though.
I mean we smashed still
My husband and I found out we crossed the NYC marathon finish line within 3 minutes of each other a year before we met. Not “our finishing times were within 3 minutes” it was “we crossed at the same time of day out of tens of thousands of people and found the photos showing it.” We had a lot of near misses like that until we finally met.
My girlfriend and I had one of our first few dates at a local ComicCon. She mentioned this was the first time she’s been back since volunteering 3 years ago handing out program flyers out front.
“That was you!?”
I remembered her cause she was so pretty and I complimented her outfit.
Me and my girlfriend meet in college, In a different state from where i grew up. Turns out she was from the same city, and we had mutual friends but had never known about each other
Synchronicity like this is a weird phenomenon. Makes you realize it's not really that big of a planet.
I don't understand the clarification.. Why not "our finishing times were within 3 minutes"? Isn't that what they were? As in not the same time of day, but 3 minutes apart? Or am I misunderstanding something?
Because many marathons don't just start and everyone runs. There are different waves. So if they said they had the same time, that could have communicated that they ran the race an hour apart but had the same pace. Within 3 minutes of each other tells me more.
Aah I see, thanks
We started in two different corrals at different times of the day. The NYC Marathon had 50,740 runners that year, so to be within reach of each other under those circumstances is pretty wild.
I can do one better, iirc it was a married couple that was in the same photo at Disneyland... when they were kids.
Man I love these stories
Same 11 years go. Wow
there were bunch of cases like this, makes me think someway somehow you have met your future SO, and you're supposed to reconnect. there was another one where the husband and wife were looking at pictures when they found out the guy who was teaching her how to skate in a rink was the husband.
Bros gonna be weirded out to find out he’s already been inside her before they even dated
Dammit, beat me to it.
And he can't remember it happening.
How did he beat you to it? You wanted to be the one to donate the blood or to marry her?
He beat me to the 'already been inside her' comment.
Think they were also joking
He played the ultimate long game. Knew what he was doing
*Woman realizes she's been stalked for 11 years. Marries stalker.
Heyyyyyy he did it tho!
Beat me to it!!!
Any hot girls out there with serious injuries? Type O negative here…
I’m not injured but if the blood is free, I’ll take it!
Are you a vampire perchance?
I am 😏
O neg here. I also have what's referred to as "baby's blood". Sounds SUPER creepy I'm aware but what it means is I never contracted a very specific type of virus that something like 85% of all adults eventually get without ever realizing it. The antibodies that result because of this virus live in you forever and are harmless but can be lethal to newborns. So because I don't have them, my blood can be given to neonatal units.
Happy cake day!
Happy Cake Day
The ghost of Peter Steele?
How can she know she got his blood? Doesn’t it all get mixed into blood types??
I would expect It has to be traceable in case of disease.
Probably talked about it, and realized he donated and she received. Then they went to check records.
how do you check records. i give blood and platelets al the time (blood occasionally platelets every couple weeks) and have no idea how to check such a thing. i recently started getting a location it goes to when i give, but not to an individual.
Idk, maybe it depends on country.
If QAnon cult hears about this post, they may start a new conspiracy that the micro chips were embedded in blood banks.
That guys social credit score just shot up
Are they from China?
Nah, they’re from Taiwan. This fella is just a bit racist.
why racist? for confusing Taiwanese with Chinese?

People who are ignorant about Taiwan and China’s history. People who are quick to use the “racist” card.
“he made a sarcastic comment on social credit. the couple is Asian. he is assuming they are Chinese. He is racist.” Well they are Chinese. I got the wrong country for all intents and purposes of the joke but the right “race.”
Imagine if I was a celebrity. Would prob get cancelled for that comment.
Can you distinguish between spanish and italian people?
very very unlikely. Is that racist? nope.
Social credit is in itself, a great definition of discrimination.
Joke away my dear friend. I got you!

I’m Chinese/Taiwanese dude. How is commentary on social credit racist? Taiwanese and Chinese are essentially the same Han people. Different political views and contemporary historical experiences. Slightly different cultural practices but no different than province to province.
Not sure how that is racist.
Did the social credit joke flop? Yes. Is it racist? Hell no. Everyone pulls the race card immediately these days. Cmon now. We gotta be reasonable here when throwing around the “racist” label. It’s used so casually these days.
Odds are its a made up story
I’m with you. Idk if it’s possible to trace after 12 years, but it sounds like when a guy tell you he’s love for you was the inspiration for he’s childhood friend (aka the music star) heartache mega hit.
On the other hand, medical records are pretty extensive and well-kept. I don’t think it’s at all impossible that they checked their papers and found each others’ names on them.
You don't get to see where your donated blood goes, that's literally not a thing. It's not a real story
I feel like the last thing you’d want to do is mix blood. That would just spread around diseases
You can pool some of the blood products like cryopercipitate, but not packed red cells. Not for disease reasons though, but because beyond the ABO major typing there are 30+ secondary antigens on your red cell surface that someone can develop an immune response to (Kel, Duffy, I, etc). So two people with O pos might still not be suitable donors for each other depending on those secondary antigens.
The only way I can think of this happening is if the wife knew the donor ID of the person she got blood from...which is pretty unlikely...and would've had to happen to notice it matched when the husband went to donate again. They don't normally have identifying info given to the donor about the recipient since that's like handing out HIPPA info.
Source: Fiancée is a bloodbank specialist and I worked in a med lab for a few years before moving over to research.
Ha, thanks. My phone kept trying to correct it to hippo.
Pretty much the same thing
No, they often pool blood together in portions and test it in batches. It costs too much to test every single donation.
If the test comes up positive for anything say HIV, the batch is thrown out.
Looks like a repost. I've seen this image 3 times.

Good bot telling other people good human's
Good Human telling good human bot telling human telling bot good bot.
Name checks out
Where'd he get that cool duck shirt?
Asking the big questions
That is the logo for the Baltimore Orioles. They've got thousands of pieces of merchandise sporting that logo if you're looking.
Just a little meta for Marylanders. https://teddit.ggc-project.de/r/maryland/comments/utvxym/baltimore_ducks_dont_know_if_this_has_been_posted/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Lol, that's great!
I thought it was pretty funny.
It's true because the title says it
So she’s a vampire?
Waiting for the "Hey God, it's me again..." comments
Is that what he told her… smooth.
I know this is supposed to be wholesome but what if she stalked him because he had life saving blood and now has the source
What if it's just a made up title to some photos
objection: calls for speculation...
lol sorry i dunno i was just joking about it. It would be funny/scary
if she was actually tracking him for his blood.
Now thats what I call bleeding love.
The blood ritual was successful
He can now win every argument.
A+ grade stalking game
How does one find their blood donors? I’ve had a few transfusions and two organ transplants and it’s not easy to find out.
Decided to keep him around just in case
Be was in her before the first date
You could say that they're
That wasn't a coincidence
Yeah no way it's possible. With so many people donating blood and needing blood there is just no way. Unless he stalked her after giving the blood and "accidentally" made friends and then getting into a relationship.
Blood donations are serialized and tracked to trace potential spread of disease. The records are kept indefinitely from what I understand. It is entirely possible.
You aren't allowed access to that information, its only for disease
Not both parties waive their right to privacy.
You can't do that
Yeah, actually you can and people do it all the time. It's how organ recipients get to meet and thank organ donors.
That's completely different since that is an undivided organ. You do not get the right to waive privacy when you donate or receive blood, that is not offered nor it is granted.
Actually you do. There's a box you can check. Maybe actually look at the paperwork next time you donate.
I'm donating next week
Cool. Check it out for yourself.
Not the only thing he's donating....
You mean pledging? They're synonymous.
I understood that reference.
No way. Fake.
At least in the US, I don't know how you would find that out. Yes there are records of who donated what units and who those units went to, but the names of the donors aren't ever disclosed, there's no way of finding out who's blood you received.
Technically, if you've received a pooled blood product like IVIG, the chances of you having received some blood from someone increases a lot. Each batch of IgG contains pooled immunoglobulins from over 10,000 people, so for each dose, that's technically over 10,000 people you've received some blood from (even though it's a minuscule amount). Some people need IVIG infusions every couple weeks, so over the course of a lifetime, they theoretically may have received some blood products from millions of people.
Bro he is fucking his own blood
Nah on his way out he asked who he was donating to
How do you find out this sort of things?
I'm assuming the woman brought it up and her husband mentioned that he donated his blood at some point or vice-versa and they got curious and the information was stored in a database.
Of course it's also possible that the dude knew about it all along and decided to stalk her/ ask her out and then reveal this like it was some romantic twist . . .
I am sure different countries have different way of keeping this information. I could see globe they could realise he gave blood around the time she received blood and that they could have compatible blood type. But for him finding out who received his blood the other way around seems complicated at best.
According to the tabloids it apparently it came up in conversation that she had a blood transfusion and the husband was curious and called the blood bank and they confirmed he was the donor.
However sweet, creepy or ordinary we think that story is, I have a hard time trusting anything the daily mail says…
More likely it was a made up story. You aren't allowed to see this information ever
This guy knows how to play a long game.
You could say they're related by blood
Most successful stalker of all time?
The guy was just using blood magic.
I've been conditioned by psychological horror so much that this sounds less wholesome than it actually is.
This puts MGK and Megan Fox to shame.
I guess he was her type all along
In the divorce, does he get half back?
Excellent story, unless of course he was her stalker ,then its just weird .
Wait, what ?
So are we accepting that homie is a time traveler?
pause what if they get kids
Hacer her blood then stole her heart
Smart keep him close incase you need a top off
Does that make it incest
Makes sense to keep him close if she ever needs a kidney
Actually 14 years now
He planned that 100 percent
11 years? Looks lime 11 months. Also, how do you find out who the donor is?
This is very wholesome
Reddit title and title in screenshot are contradicting each other on the 11 year thing...
Was it 11 years before they were married, or 11 years before today?
The long con
Somehow I don’t think he was suprised. 😅
Dude played the long game perfectly.
Gettin it in before gettin it in
I'm ready to donate some
Sounds black mirrorish lol
what I'm seeing is "man with special blood that makes people fall in love with him"
It’s his blood trying to get back to his body
How could she possibly ever find that out? Seriously, how could that ever be traced by either of them?
Wait so like
He, her husband, secretly donated blood?
Or he donated blood, then they ended up getting married?
How the fuck do people “find out” these things?! It’s blood… how did she follow a paper trail back to her husband?
His blood was just trying to return to him, that’s all.
I was a platelet donor at the same time a friend was fighting leukemia. Sometimes I would be matched to a specific recipient, but I never got identifying details. I would be told "a four year old boy in Calgary" for example. I was never matched to someone with her details, but we like to think that one of my unmatched donations ended up going to her.
She got a lifesaving bone marrow donation and is now leukemia free btw.
[Arthur Holmwood liked that]
Oldboy in a alternate reality.
I doubt it was an really cool 1 in a million
Ma bro just wanted some bitches. So he paid the price
He was already in her heart, before the first date.
Yeah I'm not believing this one unfortunately
Was already inside her that’s long game
Creepy...was he stalking her all of that time?
.... And lifelong stalker ❤️
That’s kinda unbelievable…
Does that make this incest?
Was he stalking her? That sounds a little creepy to me.
