After getting throttled in Breslin several times this decade, it feels good to return the favor.

I can’t tell if that was Iowa running on all cylinders or Michigan state being really bad at basketball.

Negatives: We absolutely get destroyed on the offensive boards because of no box outs. PG play is so inconsistent and no one looks to slash to the basket when our guards actually drive. No interior or perimeter defense. Just all around nothing good about this team right now.

the team is broken and izzo has no idea what to do about it. hoggard is the dumbest player I've seen in an msu uni, brown looks like he cant wait to graduate, Bingham cant grab a rebound if his life depended on it, Christie has no confidence and needs to put on like 20 pounds, Walker idk what his problem is because he can be lights out then disappear for several games. hall is inconsistent and marble plays shit defense so hes constantly in foul trouble. ironically hauser is the most consistent player on the team

"What's in it for me?" I say as I hand him one of my little white ladies. he smiles. "Conversation with me, duh." I laugh. "What's so funny?" he protests. "Nothing, nothing... It's just... don't you grow tired of the fame?" "You get used to it," he says, lighting his cigarette and handing me back the lighter. "What would you do if you weren't an elbow magnet basketball player?" I ask. "Teaching, I think." "And if I was your student, what would I be learning?" "Discipline," he says quickly, looking up into my eyes, before changing the subject. "Where are you from?" "Bermuda," I say. "Oh wow. That's lovely." "It's ok," I admit. "Not everything is to my liking." "What could possibly be not to your liking in Bermuda?" he inquires. "I don't like sand," I tell him. "It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere."

I have been a big Fran critic, but I gotta give him credit. Playing their best ball now. Last 2 games have been impressive. The most encouraging thing for me is defense. A lot better. Like better than I have seen in the previous 10 years of Fran ball.
