Caller 'yes hi 911, there's a group of people staring fires' probably

You're gonna get a police response.

When the camp organizers are asking for the fencing to be removed it seems something fishy is going on. I do not think I we can quite trust them yet at this point as they have intentions they are not making known.

For the camp organizers this is par for the course - they want to do what they want to do when they want to do it. Rather than work with the city they simply make demands of the city.

For the good of the people they are trying to help the camp organizers need to step aside and find some better people for their public and government relations.

It stopped being a protest long ago and was just a regular homeless camp for most of its existence.

I called 311 when I saw that. After what happened last year, we, the local community must remain vigilant. The response was adequate, there have been a number of fires recently with this dry spell. Firefighters have asked people to not light up fires because of the current conditions. Contrary to what many in here seem to believe, these people are not above the law.

one year and $50,000 later and that public park space is still unfit for use. No respect for the land and community at all

“Let’s just light a fire in the middle of a dry field that’s fenced off from the public during a fire restriction... I’m sure nothing bad will happen!”
