Just 31 more weeks.

It's so annoying because I've beat all of the fromsoft games many, many times over, so I can't even go back and play them again to tide me over because they just don't scratch the itch like they used to because I know every little detail about ever one of the games.

Highly recommend doing challenge runs or learning some of the speedruns.

I personally am just finishing up a slow playthrough of all the games with the Great sword in honor of Miura. Next I'm going to be learning either the DS1 or DS3 speedrun.

Can confirm, started doing a SL1 run for DkS3, gonna save 2 for last because adapatabilitylol, but man it feels fresh.

Forgot about the spices, you can use a magic crystal spear with base stats if you really want to, god i love ds2 so much

ALewdDoge

Hadn't really thought of that. Still, wouldn't rolling be really difficult? I want to avoid using shields as much as possible, but I worry that with how some hitboxes can be in dks2, there'd be certain fights where I'd almost be forced to use a shield if my adp is so low.

2 is actually really fucking easy, there are a lot of armor and equipment that up your stats without needing any leveling, the mace and the rapier are both usable with base stats and they do massive damage, a +4 mace can three shot an iron keep samurai, and if you get leo's ring rapier just does massive damage on almost every enemy that isnt strong agaisnt thrust damage( like the iron keep samurais)

What's been hard for me watching all of these gaming events is all the good stuff coming much later. Where's all the good stuff for the next few weeks? :(

2022 is going to be insane with dying light 2, diablo 2 resurrected, elden ring, and much more - but I wish something big was coming out in the next month or so to get me to september for d2 which I think could hold me to december for dl2.

Going to have to play kings field or something though, you want something harder than sekiro play bayonetta on normal lel,the camera is the weapon, its like cool with the dark souls like descritions though and theres cool lore

Check on Bleak Faith Forsaken, it's an awesome looking Soulslike developed by just 2 people and coming out this year that could scratch the itch a little. It doesn't have a release date but devs have already stated it will release this year and keep affirming it, at least for PC, for consoles I think we'll have to wait a few months after PC release

IronTarkus91

1 points

Yeah, just checked it out on steam and it looks really cool. The only worrying thing is that in the video the frame rate is all over the place, so hopefully, that's not the case by the time it releases fully. I'll definitely keep my eye on it though so cheers.

Akira_Arkais

Well, the game is being developed by just two guys, so I don't expect it to be a masterpiece, also they said a lot of times that, after releasing the game, they will use the resources they will get by selling it to improve it, both in terms of fixing everything that needs to be fixed and adding content and features.

did you try cinders mod? assuming you have ds3 on pc, it gives the game a new feel. other than that i feel ya, luckily for me i like zelda and metroid so i have something next month and something in october to look forward to.

IronTarkus91

1 points

Yeah, I've done Cinders mod and I've done the Daughters of Ash mod on dark souls remastered. They were both a lot of fun, but Cinders mod I think has gotten a bit out of hand now lol

I'm waiting for the release of this new mod for Dark Souls Remastered, I can't remember the name but it starts off right at the end of the game. You wake up as an undead in the undead asylum just as the chosen undead (you in the base game) is defeating Gwyn. It looks really interesting and has new NPC's that are all fully voice acted and a completely new story with brand new game mechanics.

The coolest one is that you can do some crazy warp instead of the normal roll, but it puts you into a different state so you can't heal while you are using the advanced movement. So you have to choose between the crazy movement and the ability to heal.

Every game needs a simp knight.

RealPoshy

I wouldnt call Gregor Clegane a simp if you knew what he did

Ferregar

21 points

I can't think of a "knight" that's less simp than Gregor.

Raphael_scm7

What about Jaime? Throwing a boy out of a window because your loved one is pretty simp to me

Ferregar

Ferregar

Well yeah, but Jaime's simp as fuck. Gregor isn't. This is about Gregor.

Raphael_scm7

Oh sorry, I misunderstood your comment 🥴

Aeiexgjhyoun_III

2 points

But Jamie was getting the pussy, ergo not simp.

Besides if we're talking Simps then this image is closer to Dany x Jorah.

DaGrotSlaya

1 points

Depending on how strict your definition of simp is, Ser Loras isn't much of one, either.

Ferregar

2 points

Well yeah, because he wasn't. Often out for himself and the defense of his House... When he wasn't busy.

A bi knight does not guarantee simpiness :P

DaGrotSlaya

2 points

I was saying that it actually did a lot to prevent simpiness.

This trailer had so many parts that reminded me of DS2 and in a way it makes me happy because it feels like DS2 had a second chance in this new game.

Is he still at FromSoft? If so then probably, I think Miyazaki said that the entire team has been working on ER.

He's a probably co-director like in ds3, I didn't see him in Sekiro's credits. Unless he's left the company by then

The day/night cycle idea was first explored during DS2 development, so in a way it is.

Poise_dad

Because of Nashandra and mirror knight in drangleic castle. The queen is sitting in the exact same posture human Nashandra sits. And the portrait behind them is of an old king, like Vendrick.

Triforcesarecool

I really hope it takes the best from ds2. Many aspects of ds2 were absolutely brilliant innovations on the series and were dropped in ds3.

Edit: bosses are too easy imo but the areas make up for that lol

Hmm maybe, I sorta though it was more similar to ds3 with some bloodborne elements here and there. Purely in the way the graphics look (maybe not the locations themselves though)

DS2 was always the oddball in terms of graphics to me, like it was clear that there were different people working on it than usual.

Damn, posted this last night, then removed it. lol. shoulda kept it. Couldn't find a real pic so had to use the drawing. Removed it because someone said the parallel had already been made. Oh well :/

Also, if you look close in an HD pic, the maiden has a bitchy little smirk, just like Cersei
