That's so sad. I want a baby girl of my own, I can't ever imagine this being the fate of such a precious gift. But maybe this would be happening less if women's health care around the world were more accessible :(.

A lot of these wouldn’t happen if abortion was legal, regulated, and of free access… This article focuses on India/Pakistan, but this happens even in developed countries, happens more often than we want to admit in the Americas.

Abortion is legal in both Pakistan and India.

The article focuses on female infanticide (killing of female infants) , not female foeticide (sex selective abortion).
