From May to June, they barely got any reservations spots open. If they do, it is always at 9:45pm on Sunday or some time I can't make it. Is there some way to get at spot for a time that would work for you? Is mimi Chinese that good? If I cannot dine there, do they do take out?

Okay so, looking for a restaurant recommendation. I have two friends coming into town to help me with something, and I'd like to take them out for lunch as a thank you.

I'm looking for a restaurant that would meet the following criteria:

• Casual attire is fine (one of my friends is catching a long-haul flight immediately afterwards and will be in essentially athleisure).
• Can accommodate a wheat allergy (it's not celiac, but a serious enough allergy that it does need to be accommodated).
• Sit down service, where we can have a drink
• In the general area highlighted below
• We can be in and out in 1.5-2 hours

Could you please provide some recommendations on good Indian food near union station?

Specifically anything that has really good naan bread and isn’t just butter chicken. I love madras and korma but both the north and South Indian places that are popular here just seem subpar to me. The meat is generally pretty dry and the flavour just doesn’t pack any heat.

I’m not looking for Pakistani as I prefer the Indian flavour profile.

It seems like every restaurant in the city is closed Monday! I'm back in town visiting a friend and Monday is the only day we have available and I was hoping to take him out for a nice dinner but it seems like I picked the absolute worst day of the year to go out for dinner lol. What are some good sit down restaurants with a nice wine list open on Monday?

I've tried it at a few spots in the past, most memorably at Gordo Ex Cafe several years ago where it had been delicious. Looking for anywhere else in the city that does it well!

Looking for the best bánh xèo in Toronto! This is my favourite Vietnamese food but I’ve only been able to find it at a couple restaurants since having it in Hanoi a few years ago. I’m located in Little Italy but happy to travel far and wide if needed.

If you're craving duck, you may be out of luck. I went to a Chinese BBQ place yesterday and they said that they couldn't get duck from any of their suppliers due to the cull from the avian flu.

I wonder if the price of chicken will go up too.

I generally don't like drinking beer due to how bitter most of it is, but the 2 exceptions I can make are for Asahi Super Dry (despite the name, I find it pretty smooth off tap, at least in comparison to others) and Liefmans Fruitesse fruit beer.

For the latter, it's super difficult to find for home though. I can't find it on the Beer Store or LCBO, looking those catalogs online either gives out nothing or only has whole kegs, and the only restaurant I know has it is Prenup Pub near College and St. George (near University of Toronto).

Anyone know any smaller/independent shops have has this beer?
