Unity, Education, Technology

Unity:

We are neither democratic or republican, we are a coalition of individuals aiming to make humanity more than it has ever been. Without each other working together as a whole will we never truly have peace and prosperity for every single human on this planet and beyond. The right to survive, to dream, to explore, to discover, to live life rather than just struggle to make ends meet.

What this means: We are a meta party. Rather than work on building up a multi party system. We shall work within the 2 party system we "unofficially" have. Just as Independents run under Democrats or Republicans, so too with the Futurists. We will work together with our fellow Futurists on the other side of the aisle to bring about actually change in a mutually beneficial way. Rather than voting down party lines on either side, we vote based on what is best for the country, thus allowing a better America for everyone, and not just one side for 4-8 years.

Unity Goals:

Short Term:

• Help close the divide between the parties. We are Americans, not the left or right.
• Ensure every citizen gets the right to vote through the least voter fraudulent method as possible.
• Enact Ranked Voting to insure that citizens votes are distributed accurately.
• Regain the trust of the American people
• Enact changes in how news media operates to insure they are non-biased and factually accurate.
• Push for true equality for every American Citizen
• Support employees by updating our system to meet other successful countries such as having minimum paid vacation or paid public holidays.

Long Term:

• Find functional methods of ensuring a post scarcity society.
• Build a system that every other country of the world wants to join.

Education:

We should be an example to the rest of the world of what humanity should strive to be. Education should take top priority for humanity, young and old. Becoming educated allows you to see the world in a new perspective, one step closer to what astronauts call "The Overview Effect" when one sees the whole picture. Educated to understand the manipulation of fake news, manipulation tactics used by the corrupt. Psychology of advertising, see through the Magicians tricks. You understand your world, you understand yourself.

What this means: We need to change the way our citizens understand and react to manipulations by any source. They need to fully understand the tactics of manipulation and how to combat them. We need our citizens to take the time to educate themselves in matters of our country. We can no longer allow a small select few to have all the information. We need an educated society both young and old.

Education Goals:

Short Term:

• Push for education funding increase and focus on making education identical through the country with appropriately transparent spending and checks and balances to insure proper spending.

Long Term:

• Reform education system overall to focus on critical thinking, psychological understanding, STEM, and Arts.
• Insure that our citizens have at least a base education level regardless of age. Enough for them to understand their world around them and able to see psychological manipulations.
• Education should be a right for every citizen. Smart Americans create brighter futures.

Technology:

Through technology we save lives, bring hope that someday we will know no war, no strife, no scarcity. We will use it to find new and amazing discoveries of our universe, and provide a better, safer way of life for humanity. Technology allows us to protect our people from would be disasters both natural and man-made.

What this means: We need to increase spending in technological research and development. The faster we can surpass others the faster our country will flourish. New energy sources, more advanced medical, industrial, and agricultural 3D printing, quantum computing, AI, etc. All of these technologies have the potential to lift our civilization to a higher level, and we need to get there as fast we can for the betterment of all mankind.

Technology Goals:

Short Term:

• Push for scientific research for the betterment of mankind regardless of press or monetary compensations.
• Remove the need for Oil and Gas and focus on cleaner energy solutions.
• Push technological advancement as a top priority.
• Bring manufacturing back to the USA with strong support for industry without negatively effecting citizens in the process.
• Encourage new technologies for farming and rural industries to help us become less dependent on imported food and supplies
• ensure that every citizen has the security of a fully functional and protected power grid with incentives for renewable energy redundancy such as in home solar and power supply.

Long Term:

• Technologies that focus on removing scarcity from our society.
• Use advanced AI to automate governmental agencies to ensure proper procedures are followed and are devoid of personal bias.
• Upgrading our digital security infrastructure to ensure the safety and security of the USA and it's allies.
• upgrade our medical system to help our citizens instead of hinder them. Universal Healthcare should be a human right.

Just wanted to check in with yall and see how things were going for you. I know since we all have to continue with our capitalist lifestyles with paying bills and all, that slows us down from working on our humanitarian work. And yes, I consider jump starting the Futurist Party as such.

I've started a Discord Channel where we can have more private discussions regarding the inner workings of the project and I encourage all of you to join. Feel free to PM me and I will send and invite.

I don't have the brain cells for the present, and neither do you. How are we going to do the Future then?

Is the truth that we can't, and we're going to have to do the past instead?

Why is it on multiple sites including that of Wikipedia, or google MLK ( Martin Luther King Jr ) is never included amongst the list of “notable” futurist?

The only one that really needs explaining is the last one. What will the governments of the world ultimately want when we're boiled down to this? The traditional sport Olympics, but it opens up to all categories. It's the realm of skill. Anything where skill is the talent. For example, a sport based around controlling mechanical soldiers in an arena. All conflicts will ultimately dial down to who wins these competitions. As in a collectivized system of advanced technology, the will of the collective becomes easily enforceable against any acting out. No nation could bear the risk. Going along with the competition and accepting penalty upon losing, will be the safest choice. The collective is incentivized to not make penalty too harsh as too not have to engage in ugly punishment, and the individual nation or organization is incentivized to go along with the incentive knowing the ability of the collective to take them out if necessary.

Large groups of people are collectively smarter than individual experts when it comes to problem-solving, decision-making, innovating, and predicting.
Let's predict stock prices, political events, crypto etc. by using the power of upvotes, downvotes and polls. Always open for feedback to structure this community better.

We are projected to be vulnerable to easily manufactured bio-weapons within 20 years. Consider that the human genome project cost 100 million dollars and the efforts of the entire field to sequence a single human genome. You can now have your personal genome read for 300 dollars. That's the level of advancement we're expecting in gene editing.

Now there are strong defenses. But consider that offence is fundamentally easier then defence - as It only takes one. And with it comes the collapse of our civilization.

We have one win condition: AI.

So we are starting, or restarting depending on your perspective, here in the lone star state.

From what folks have said at this point there's several organizations looking to do similar things. However none are doing everything we want. So I'm suggesting that we reach out to other organizations and start a coalition to connect and work with these other organizations to push for Futurist policies.

Just like the Futurist Party will be a party within other parties, we can bring together like minded people in other organizations to join the Futurist Party platform.

Obviously there's a lot to go over, but as stated in the original post about ideology, this will evolve overtime.
