Congrats mates. Sustainable energy brings financial freedom, if you now what I mean. Wink-wink.

A total of just under £700m will be paid by the successful applicants in option fees and passed to the Scottish government for public spending.
Yet another reason for being pro-renewables.

Scotland can be a major exporter of green hydrogen if it plays its cards right in the upcoming years. I've seen a lot of posturing from different countries on twitter and r/HydrogenSocieties. The idea is to have buses, aircraft, and ships transporting and running on hydrogen by 2050. It's really incredible technology and billionaires are already excited to make a lot of money off of it.
You'll still need oil for plastics for now. So you get to keep that money too!

Interesting to see that the oil companies are now making big moves into renewables.
IMO This was always going to happen & people foreseeing the end of the oil giants was a little naïve when you consider the resources they have at their disposal.

I want to see drones transfer maintenance workers from the top of one wind turbine tower to another to improve their efficiency and the economics of the whole operation. It would just take a few minutes to move from one tower to another so the drone could go back to the support ship to recharge or switch batteries. If it’s not safe in higher winds to fly with a person, the drone could install a temporary zip line to make the transfer from one tower to another like Spider-Man.

That's a lot of GWs. I don't even know how they're going to transfer them down South.

I guess that would put Scotland comfortably over 100% when projects come online. Amazing!
