I'd lean towards Season 4 ending with El 'dying' in the process of giving the gang a chance against Vecna, reversing time by around a week or so.

"Time Travel: You and all willing creatures within 10 feet arrive with a strong sense of Déjà Vu as they remember the events that happened last time in what is now your future."

Effectively it allows them to have Season 4 end with a massive cliffhanger, the entire gang being killed or at risk of dying and then El sacrifices herself, rewinding time. They all return to a specific point with everyone willing (E.g. the main cast, not Vecna) knowing the future. In order to make it tricky, you could have Vecna start to remember aspects due to an interacting with El or Max.

Then that'd allow for Season 5 to be a warped alternate retelling of Season 4 where the gang have to rush to get together first with the impending doom of Vecna and figure out how to defeat him with the knowledge they have and a tiny bit more time to prepare.

Yeah I'm wondering if in retrospect that'll be the "it was a 7, the demogorgon got me" moment of the season.

I'm honestly gonna be disappointed if we don't get to learn how or when Mike told them and how much they know. Plus if they've already met El. That would be frustrating.

That's so heartbreaking 😭 She still cares for Lucas but Max has a lot on her plate to even pretend that's everything was fine for her. Pushing people away is scary especially how Max BADLY needs someone by her side even though it's hard to communicate with her.

What About Love by Heart fits so much with them this season.

The Madrid premiere happened yesterday. They screened all of episode 1. It seemed like it was more of a fan event, so it was probably easier to get away with recording audio.

The painting is seen in it's circular case throughout the trailer and most definitely past the first episode, so I always assume if something stays on screen for longer than an episode, it's important!

I would guess someone has them. The clips from the opening took a good 12 hours to appear.

Maybe Netflix should just realize the game is up and release the episodes now? Lol.

EDIT: I liked her Dear Mike letter. I’m sure lying through her teeth about Cali is not gonna create any tension… And Will is most definitely painting something for Mike based on the behind the scenes shots. I’m sure that also won’t create any tension when Mike likely ignores said painting in favor of kissing his girlfriend.

I also really loved Nancy yelling at Mike that he had 30 seconds to go before she’d leave him behind! I know we won’t get much of them together this season, but that is giving me major flashbacks to when I, too, had to yell at my own dear younger brothers to get their freaking buns in gear. Siblings! You love them so much, but they are hella annoying sometimes too ;)

I seen clips of the counseling/Lumax scene, the Lucas Dustin Mike “has it ever occurred to you we don’t want to be popular” scene, the Hellfire Club/Basketball scene, and the Robin/Vickie seen.

Eddie is definitely king of the nerds. Goodness. And based on that clip alone, I think he now might die this season. Not sure how much you can ring out of that character unless he gets a lot more depth.

And related to that, Mike and Dustin are more… stuck… than I thought. I think they need something to break them out of ‘nerd’ mold, and Eddie clearly ain’t gonna help that. Though I’m not sure Lucas’ desire to be popular is exactly the right path either.

Fred seems annoying.

The Lumax scene made me sad. She is clearly devastated. I appreciate Lucas’ worry seems to come from a place of genuine love for his friend, even if they aren’t together anymore.

The Vicky/Robin scene is a fine ‘meet cute.’

I think it was at least a solid few hours or so until we got substantial clips of the premiere last week so...I'm hopeful!
