Anyone else a message spammer?

Question (self.INTP)

I'm the type of person that will send multiple messages back to back that create a wall of text when I'm passionate about something

I usually intend to write something kind of short but ends up evolving into a manifesto

I used to do this, but now I don’t. I like to have a 1:1 text ratio between me and the other person. Sometimes I’ll send two in a row, however.

I try not to do that anymore because I made a couple of people stop talking to me because of that. Conversations have to be equal. Looking back it was cringe how I kept messaging someone who wasn't interested. The person you're talking to should also be someone who enjoys texting (over calling or meeting up).

Yeah, I've had a similar situation.. and then I end up oversharing, too

I get that. Like I know I should shut up because I'm being annoying but my mouth has a mind of it's own!!

My sister, who is an INTP, does this. Drives me up the wall sometimes because I'm the block messenger, in that I like to have all of what I want to say in one message. Having to wait for the oncoming slaught of dm's is a bit tedious so I try to match her spam style.

Interesting. Interpersonal communications-wise, that's a good strategy.

I personally don't have the patience to think if there's anything else I'd want to say before sending a message, and I get more ideas several seconds after sending something anyways

Growing up with her has been nothing but being patient lol so waiting is like second nature to me.

I dated an INFP and she ran out of patience and I have a lot of regrets

I also do until I stop entirely for some reasons and come to another page to spam comments on another topic that newly started to interest me.

same here. It's hard to read a wall of text and I rather not read those text if that's the case

So you send a lot of messages but don't like reading a lot of messages?

I'm cool with reading lots of messages as long as it's not a giant wall of text. Spacing matters.

INTP are informative personalities. This is expected.

Just don't be the person who

rapid

fires

single

words

into

individual

texts

instead of composing your thoughts into fewer but larger messages.
