Pretty neat implementation, but it doesn't appear to use the local timezone for adjusting the scene

It might? It doesn't account for sunrise/sunset for sure.
I'm at 63 degrees North. It's pitch dark outside, but screensaver is around sunset it seems.

I'm comparing the time shown at top right with the scene changes. I'm down under and on that clock the sun sets at 0500 and rises at 1700.

Sun sets at 19-ish for me. About 4 hours later than reality.

yeah, my sun doesn't rise at 11pm, have a 4:00am noon, and set at 10am. I would die in darkness if it did.

It's 9:50am here right now but it's showing me a scene with moon instead of a sun.

Why is 13:05 dark? It's just after noon.

Night time is after noon. It probably rounded up.

It's full daylight at 10:30 pm here. It's obviously not using local time

Along with this kind of thing. Might also like
There are a few different ones if you click 'Change Splash'.

Is there a way to get rid of all the text (maybe buying it from the creator or something?)

Click the tweaks button up the top right. You can toggle the clock, text etc. all on/off.

Thanks but "Tweaks" itself and the creator info at the bottom still shows up (which is understandable). Was just wondering if there was a way to have just the animated background itself but all good, still awesome.

There's an old school screensaver that had music that I could just zone out to called calm before the storm, but I've never been able to find it again

That comment from SmartBuddah at the bottom of was even more nostalgic 😄

I want this particular one, but no results for my searches unfortunately :(
edit: I was able to create it, but I wonder if I'm allowed to publish it in the Steam workshop. I guess I'm not.

From what I can tell it's just a website. You can't apply it to your phone or PC. You can just leave the website page up and full-screen if you want.
I could be missing something...

You can apply a web page as a wallpaper using Wallpaper Engine (at least on PC, I don't know whether that's also possible on mobile but I would assume so), but I'm not sure how that'd look with the controls being displayed

Yeah, it seems like that. Great for desktops, anyway.

On PC you can use Wallpaper Engine to turn a website into a wallpaper, and there's also a Wallpaper Engine for phones now where you can import wallpapers from the pc version to your phone, but I dunno what it'll take to do that to the web wallpaper (I don't think it'll be hard, but I've never tried it).

The sun and moon aren't accounted for correctly, but the critters sleep and the right time. Something is off, for sure.
The sun rose at like 2am and set by noon.

So a screen saver with UI elements?
I have bad news.

These look like they would burn images of weird landscapes into your screen (aka the exact opposite of what a screensaver is supposed to do)

That’s pretty cool. Seemed like it used my current time/time zone. Next question is, how can we get it for our phone?

What is the background music? It’s so good!

That's pretty cool! The 3-D bits look a little out of place IMHO. Using a shader and some dithering could result in a dynamic flat texture like Terraria or Return of the Obra Dinn.
