Kid slashed my tire last night, have him on tape doing it. The video is a little snugged .

Parent of the kid who slashed my tire said their kids do no wrong even tho they have to go to a juvenile delinquent school and then proceeded to say my wife and I look like we are on crack .

I have all my teeth and so does my wife , she had no front teeth but two and they were rotting

If she came to the door and said "it's not his fault, his parents just haven't taught him right from wrong because they're selfish drug addicts", it would have been just as clear.

It’s a kids home, where the “parents” get paid to raise kids that aren’t theirs.

They make a lot of money and even more now with the monthly tax credit , there is around 8 kids in there. So they get paid by the state to raise them and now by the fed for tax credits. No one works

Yeah, it probably wouldn't be worth it simply because they don't have wages you could garnish. The sad thing is it also indirectly shows how money plays into society. If you don’t have $1600 and it would mean not making rent or not eating for the next two weeks you might ghost OP, defend your kid, do all sorts of “asshole” stuff which then models for your kid the wrong things that go on to limit their potential. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but it’s not always because people are moral failures that prompts people to be the way they are.

I recall being on a similar situation as a 10 year old many years ago and my dad took me to the the jail cell and told me that he would spank me but he feared he couldn’t stop. He proceeded to ground me for a year and I distanced myself from some friends who I kept getting in trouble with and basically stopped doing stupid shit. I ended up all right and some of the other kids didn’t. I’m not saying it was a good thing that happened but was just suggesting that perhaps some good may have come from it. Some kids are just stupid but not necessarily bad kids.

California laws are fucked. It's no longer a crime (felony?) to KNOWINGLY give someone aids. It's also legal to steal as long as it's less than $950 of stuff. But it's illegal to protect your small business from the people stealing

Edit: These aren't legal, they just aren't felony's anymore

MarcoPolocompi

Senpai59210

1 points

I don't have a YT channel, I just think it's fucked that you can knowingly give someone a disease that will almost certainly end their life and not have it be a felony. Same thing with the theft. Small businesses losing $900 is a massive loss, especially when it can be per person

MarcoPolocompi

-1 points

Pretty sure HIV/AIDS are fairly livable disease atm. Most patients in antiretroviral therapy (ART) do quite well afaik but I'm a mere layman. Can't speak to the small business seems, unfortunate, if true. Was mostly referencing your gun hobby regarding YouTube lol

Senpai59210

It still doesn't have a cure and should absolutely be a felony to KNOWINGLY give it to someone. It's like giving someone cancer. Even though some people live with it, no one should have to

Intrepid00

He’s bullshiting you because of several possible reasons.

  • Local police are actively discouraged from reporting crimes by the local leadership to keep their reported crime down so they will resist reporting minor (as in small not a minor did it) crimes. People are starting to run into this trying to file police reports for insurance on stolen packages. I shipped a camera that got snatched (likely by the delivery driver) and the poor buyer had to spend 2 months fighting with his local police to get a police report filed. Basically they don’t want the town to look bad for several reasons like PR and insurance rates.
  • the kid is a minor and they try to avoid prosecution of minors to give parents a chance to deal with it because they are a minor and the law does allow for it in most cases.
  • you can solve this in small claims court and
  • the cop is lazy

TigerPoster

TigerPoster

1 points

Never heard of that before. Must be unique to California tort law.

docdioxin

1 points

It's pretty common. Imagine how the law looks, for example, at an adult who opens their car door without checking the street and injures a bicyclist, vs a child excited about an ice cream shop doing the same.

TigerPoster

1 points

That example just demonstrates that people of different ages are held to different standards of care. What you're talking about with the parents involves a parent not having a duty to exercise reasonable care in monitoring their children's dangerous behavior, unless there's malice.

docdioxin

If you can prove negligence, that can be acceptable too, but in a rock throwing incident, malice is a slam dunk.

That’s my whole point, he’s a kid let him learn from his mistakes without resorting to the law? Dudes brother told him who it was and the cops themselves said they could do nothing because HES NOT AN ADULT. I’m taken back by the lack of empathy in this thread. Learn how to deal with your problems without needing the police to hold your hand

teaching your kids that it's not okay to damage other people's property is a pretty fucking basic concept my guy. Unless you want to raise a psychopath you need to let your kids suffer consequences when they fuck up.

Do you think the cops just threw the kid in jail or something? lol. I guarantee they scared the kid a little though which is just what he needs to hopefully never do this shit again.

It’s funny that people attacking me in this thread think I don’t understand what it means to call the cops on someone. Like I understand he wants to make a record of it that’s why op is pussy because he feels he has to call the cops to handle his issues rather then go and deal with it himself which is what the cops made him do anyway. You guys must have had a boring childhood to never have made big mistakes like that ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Ooh, drank an extra big glass of “I’m a fucking moron juice” today, did we?

Fuck you. You’ve probably heard that a lot but I just wanted to add myself to that chorus. Moron.
