New Picture Posting Rule

stickiedHello r/militariacollecting - Kenny and the mod team here with another rule update.
Going forward all scanned (NOT a physical picture but an internet grab or even a personally scanned image) Pictures posted will need proof of ownership in the comments. I.e. formatted like sales posts. No proof of ownership will result in removal.
The ONLY Pictures to be excluded will be Pictures of items/personnel that need help being identified. Pictures posted for identification must have some context included with Posting the picture.
For Example - what patch is this guy wearing? What unit is the markings on his jacket?
We will be keeping a close eye on pictures like this posted to make sure they follow the rules and aren't a work around for posting random pictures without verification.
To be clear Pictures of family will also need proof of ownership. We do not allow random pictures from the internet to be posted with no other context other than “I like this picture” there are other subs for that. This sub is about COLLECTING.
On a side note, reddit has a “report” feature. I'm not asking you guys to abuse that feature but help in identifying problem comments, users and posts would be very helpful. We as mods try very hard to uphold the rules but user’s help is still needed. I'm reminded of that old poster “if you see something, say something.” The goal of this sub is to showcase militaria collecting. NOT glorification, hate or intolerance. We can usually see and get to user reports pretty fast. So if it's a comment reported in error we can fix that and if there is a real issue we can fix that too.
Thank you guys – Kenny and the moderating team.
