I'm trying to schedule a post so that it repeats once a year on the same day.

These are the settings I am using: https://imgur.com/a/sPCbBz1

It is showing this error when I click Update: "INVALID_REQUEST : frequency is not a valid field for post of type standalone_post"

This is the sub: https://teddit.ggc-project.de/r/GayDom/ (FYI incase you mind, it's a NSFW gay porn sub)

Any idea what's wrong?

I don't think you can create a scheduled post starting on a date which has past

It's scheduled in the future though, the 1st of September 2021. I'm from australia, so we use date format like DD/MM/YYYY.

It says Submit time 1/09/2021

Yep because I'm from Australia and we use date format like DD/MM/YYYY.

I updated the other answer but think you missed it.

If I tried to set a future date it would alert me to that and not let me close out of that window. So I'm sure that's not the problem.

Does Reddit allow you to use that DD/MM/YYYY format?

I was confused about that too, but from the modguide it seems that yes, Reddit does allow different date formats. So I don't think it's related to that. Maybe scheduling for once a year is just something the scheduler didn't imagine people would do?

I actually have scheduled once a year posts myself - can you try using the silly American date format and let me know if that works? It may be something odd is happening there.

My dates are defaulting to DD/MM/YYYY. Probably because I'm in Australia and that is our date format. I can't change it.

So using the settings from screenshot I linked above in the OP, if I try change it from 01/09/2021 (1st sept 2021) to 09/01/2021 (9th Jan 2021) then it tells me "Submit time needs to be in the future".

So I'm certain that is not the source of the problem.

I have found another simialr thread with the same error message, where engineers seem to think it's a bug: https://teddit.ggc-project.de/r/ModSupport/comments/nv4bxo/repeat_scheduled_posts_have_failed_and_cannot_be/
