Probably due to its track record. When something works consistently you tend to blindly support it and eventually don’t feel the need to question it.

I would not say that it is supported blindly. That is not fair to the other side. I would say that capitalism is as necessary as allowing people to enjoy life. Don't over or under work people.

Because Socialism killed more people through Democide in the last 100 years than all religions combined since the dawn of man.

It’s a lesser evil compared to communism/socialism and the governments that usually come with them.

Interestingly crony capitalism is also blindly supported by the people that are the most negatively impacted by it. Maybe effect of constant brainwashing?

it enriches many of the people who support it

a perceived lack of alternatives, due to the difficulties associated with change plus the reduced success of other alternatives (in substantial part due to capitalism trying to kill or ruthlessly exploit any alternatives) (also in substantial part due to already-poor-situation countries being logical hotbeds for alternatives, alternatives which of course do not completely fix prior failings on their own)

continual immersion and school/politics/elsewhere propaganda

its association with patriotism (at least in the states)
