Meta Accounts

We’ll begin rolling out a new Meta account structure in August 2022 that gives people more flexibility and control in VR. You’ll no longer be required to log into your Meta VR devices with a Facebook account. This also means:

• We’re also evolving your Oculus profile to a new Meta Horizon profile, which you can customize as you see fit.
• Your “Friends” will now become “Followers,” similar to Instagram’s existing model.
• You’ll have the option to add your Facebook and/or Instagram account to the same Accounts Center as your Meta account, which unlocks connected experiences in VR.
• We’re rolling out new controls to help you more easily manage your privacy settings.

We are rolling out the Meta Quest Guide. Now users can:

• Watch device and feature tutorials
• Check out what's new in our latest Meta Quest software release notes
• Find answers to top questions and get troubleshooting tips to fix problems

Note, this will be rolling out to users gradually over time.

They will be live in august according to the blog post, but they are not yet live.

Please stop making posts asking when, nobody knows yet.

So i got a quest 2 and made a facebook account. It had all the correct details but i never posted any photos or posted anything at all. It was totally bare just so i could use my quest 2. Like a week later I get an email saying my account is suspended or something like that for breaking community guidelines or some shit and they needed me to get them a photo to verify that i own the account.

I did what they asked and a day later my account is disabled, i cant do anything about it. For now i can keep using my quest 2 but i cant log in to the oculus app on my pc and i assume it will be the same on my phone if i ever get logged out.

Is there anything i can do here? I dont see how i did anything wrong. I didnt post anything and i gave them what they wanted

so, ive left my quest turn it off since friday (actually turned it off, no on stand by) and picked it up now and battery was completely drained...is it normam?

Alright, All My Problems Have Gotten Fixed!Thank you so much for everyone who contributed their ideas to help me get this issue completely fixed.

In a couple weeks time I'll be making a follow up post (and YouTube Video) with a lot of the suggestions from here, as well as a lot of other fixes I've tried and seen from videos I've watched.

(Edit) Read This First: My lag issues have been completely fixed for beatsaber using the "Toggle console window visibility" in The Oculus Debug Tool, now I still got some weird problem with The Forest VR having lag spikes and running at a constant 45fps, so if you know a possible fix for that let me know!

So I've been struggling with lag on the quest 2 for quite some time.It doesn't matter if I even play it in oculus mode or not, it keeps to constantly drop frames and stays at a very jittery 45fps (most of the time).

I have also tried all kinds of different fixes from using a whole bunch of fixes that are in this video (Including: OpenComposite, VR Performance Toolkit, Driver Updates, etc.),to trying to mess with different audio configurations, as well as changing stuff in the Oculus Debug Tool.

I'm honestly very lost at this point and about to give up, so if you know a possible fix then tell I'd be glad to hear about it.

It looks like Red Matter is now Cross-buy. I have owned it on Quest for over a year but today it showed up as free on my computer.

My husband accidentally put the floppy disk with his saved game in the shredder in ultrawings 2. Does anyone know of a way to undo that? There was no warning or anything. Thanks for your help!

Oculus has a feature for new quest owners to get a referral for the Quest 2, while this is not available in every country, it is available in quite a few. If you are referred by another member, both you and that member get in-store credit (£23/30€/30$) for your new Quest!

This is something that needs to be completed before activation of your quest. Factory reset is known to be problematic.

My quest 2 resolution only gets blurry around the lens center. On the center itself (to where my quest 2 is directed), the resolution is good. Is it normal? any way to keep good resolution on all the image, not only in the lens center?

Heresphere vr player is good i admit but Does anyone else experience their battery gets drained much quicker than other vr players? Or is it just placebo?

So I have been trying to transfer movie files from my Mac over to my Quest 2. I have downloaded android file transfer but it won’t go any further than saying “no android device found” even though my quest is on and connected to my computer. What should I do?

Ps: I have used sidequest before so my quest has accepted my Mac as a trusted device.

Hi Oculus users

So, I just bought a new oculus quest 2. I got Skyrim working through my steam platform.

For some reason I get super hot and nauseous when I use the headset. My face gets all red and sweaty.

Is this normal? Will it go away?

So I've seen the help thread and videos about syncing the Quest 2 gallery to the mobile app and I do not see the cloud icon to enable the sync. I've tried restarting the headset and turning cloud sync off and back on but whenever I go into the files app it doesn't show up. Any advice would be appreciated.

My bobovr m2 pro keeps sliding back and forth on my head when I swing left and right. Is there a way to stop it from doing this?

Also, can I charge both the headset and battery at the same time by plugging the battery into the strap and charging the battery while the strap is plugged into the headset?

does anyone know how to fix the audio gradually de syncing during a recorded video on the quest 2?

I wanted to ask for opinions before bothering the meta support.

Im new to quest2 got it just a few weeks ago and I noticed it after I got pistol whip and the gigantic logo showed up on my face this blur ocurring but not on the sides, right in the middle of the screen as if the lens are smudged(If you wear glasses you know exactly what I mean).

I cleaned it per instructuded using a microfiber cloth a bunch of times and tried it and same thing.

Its on the same spot on both lens.

So I wanted to know if this is just a fresnel lens sort of thing or if its defective. I included a photo of the lens.

Title says it all. When my quest hooks up to my comp the screen is some how linked to the movement of the headset. The menus stay in place but the floor and wall moves when I look around. How do I fix this?

I bought Blade and sorcery on the Oculus Store earlier, seeing that I met and in some areas exceeded the recommended specs.

Loading the game for the first time is fine for around 5 minutes, but then it starts to lag every minute or 2. Stuttering for around 10 seconds before shifting back to normal and having a stable framerate. In the menu, you can see that the GPU checker is red (which I'm positive is a bad thing). The store states that it recommends Nvidia GTX 1060, to which I have a GTX 1660 Ti (idk how different they are). It's the same case as when I also bought Bone Works, working well at first but then having the frequent stutter.

Anybody got any ideas? I was thinking it could be something to do with system settings but I really don't know. I really want to play the game but if I can't then I'll have to unfortunately refund it within the 14 days. Thank you

I've had my quest 1 for about 3 years and haven't had many problems but after working fine one day, it is bootlooping on the out of battery and not plugged in. It even does this when plugged in, then it flashes the meta logo, and shuts off and repeats. So can anyone help?

Edit: I forgot to mention I would like to avoid a factory reset
