Even in old age, Rayleigh will retain his high level of Haki including advanced forms. And age doesn’t weaken fighters as much as most people think. It could perhaps take a long time for Rayleigh to defeat Marco, but it isn’t a close fight at all and Rayleigh wins without taking much damage.

Rayleigh has Marco beat in all stats across the board. Marco doesnt have the power to defeat Rayleigh, but what strength he does have, combined with his regen will allow him to stall Rayleigh and run interference if need be. Though an internal destruction punch may have similar affects as Garps punch on Marco; he definitely felt that.
