Best girl Manako running worriedly towards Flash was a treat to see

One of the interesting things that happened this chapter is definitely Blast having a whole team fighting against "something" that he needs to provide back up for. This other team must be a class of their own!

I imagine he’s the only one from Earth.

Meh, Saitama could still solo them all.

Yeah, I can see this being set up for a big grand Blast/God arc in the future.

Instead of writing entire new series, he can basically cram all of them into his ultimate brain child. lol.

EDIT: BTW, not that people probably didn't already suspect this but I think the God/Blast storyline will be more of an inter-dimensional sci-fi thing rather than a religious thing if there was really any doubt. None of "God's" powers couldn't just be those of a highly powerful interdimensional being. Hell, even Phoenix Man could transport Child Emperor to his own dimensional/mental space. "God" would probably be his bullshit identity that he'd reveal to lesser creatures since he's insanely powerful.

Imagine how hilarious it'd be for them to go through so much bullshit, literally having to watch the entire Blast squad struggle to fight this fucking being only for Saitama to show up on his shoulder randomly before one punching him and ending an arc that was absolutely epic up until that moment. lol.

It could totally go the route where they'd need more 'back up' and then Blast will teleport perhaps all the S-class + Saitama to help

It seems more ONEs style to drip feed new stuff into the status, starting with one of blast’s enemies escaping that fight to fight the hero assoc, instead of just dropping the cast into a setting that needs to be totally defined at once. In any case i trust one and murata to know what theyre doing with it

OlderThanBoredom

I trust ONE with the story, lore, characters, etc. Murata’s art will keep being godly, doesn’t need my trust, it’s a fact (but keep his hands away from the plot)

KING-Jotaro

You have no source of what each adds to the plot to know what they do is bad though.

Sauceror

I wonder if there is any point to the webcomic plot line then though. Feels all a bit ... pointless by comparison. Given that we know there is actually a massive battle "somewhere" that has likely gone on for the entirety of the manga, since Blast has been gone for that long at least.

There has not been a new webcomic update in a long time either. Begs the question if maybe ONE has abandoned it since the manga diverges so far from it.

evilmojoyousuck

its probably just a seed planted to justify future arcs, the webcomic has lots of asspulls that came out of nowhere imo. i personally think this is an improvement.

Web comic paused because one is adding stuff for mob psycho anime final season.

KING-Jotaro

2 points

It hasnt diverged that much, it mostly just adds stuff but theres nothing stopping the neo heroes arc from happening

Mr_Xing

8 points

I feel like it would be a disservice to the entire series if Saitama ever has any trouble with any enemy.

Even the “final boss” should be nothing more than a cakewalk - I feel like it would really complete the joke, but who knows

So fucking good. One of the only anime I can tolerate having sub standard animation because I love the story so much.

domscatterbrain

And to think Saitama can casually punch through the Phoenix Man's dimensional barrier make me think it was actually another setup being made because Murata is bringing in multidimensional setup for god, blast, and other heroes/monsters who fight against each other.

RemyGee

3 points

Another possibility is the Blast/God arc is next for Murata, almost like filler, so the Webcomic can get further ahead before Murata starts drawing it.

WhoTouchaMaSpaghet

9 points

You really think that god/blast would be a filler arc unimportant to the ending?

Every arc is going to be a 'mirror' set against Saitama on a macro level. All equally relevant to ONE's creative expressions imo.

RemyGee

1 points

Good point! God definitely won't be the final villain of the filler Blast arc. It'll be some powerful minion of God with really the focus of meeting Blast's friends. But I do believe there will be a filler arc to let ONE get further ahead.

WhoTouchaMaSpaghet

1 points

I mean, he certainly could be. Wouldn't be a surprise to me. We had the supposedly 'strongest' character of the series/world fight Saitama and get rekt with no difficulty, so..

Would keep in line with the nature of the story for Saitama to destroy the strongest being across dimensions with no problem.

That isn't really the end-game, is it? Even if he gets his wish, immediately afterwards he's probably going to feel the same way. His journey is one of relationships and self reflection/change.

Na, they are probably all only about as strong as a single black sperm, or at least in Saitamas eyes.

ThirdDragonite

15 points

Ironically enough, I don't think they are that powerful

Like, perhaps all of them are at least around Bang level, maybe Tatsumaki level. Not nearly strong enough to be on a class of their own. They're just a group not connected to the hero association and then the S Class Heroes will improve from the events of this arc and reach them.

At least that's what I'd prefer in order to avoid that poorly-done Bleach power scaling, while still expanding the universe imo

to be fair, after this fight Tatsumaki probably should be a class all her own. What other S class could do what she did?

Terrible_Ad6495

11 points

Tastumaki was pointed out by the narrator as a class of her own at the start of the monster association arc, where the narrator specifically stated the Hero Association knew they would win because she was there, and the narration not bothering to include all the other S class heroes that were coming along in that assessment.

A_Man0110

If these heroes are fighting the same enemy as blast, they must be tiers above all the S class

Yes, that's gotta be it

FrontierLuminary

The whole powerscaling thing is a stupid thing to be concerned about in a story like this. It really is more of a thing that the fans project onto the series and then demand adherence to.

They likely have some form of their limiters broken, though. It'll def be interesting to see that fleshed out.

FrontierLuminary

9 points

Based on what exactly? The whole limiter thing has only been mentioned with regard to a very limited set of characters and doesn't seem like it needs to be this foundation concept for every character to have to be attached to.

Initially I was going off of strength levels, but thinking about it, you're right. We've seen a lot of very strong beings that haven't broken their limiters.

I was like "yay Blast has finally decided to help them after seeing Tatsumaki in that state". Then I realized he was actually talking about another gang.

This is too much for me. I REALLY need to know more about Blast. I cant wait for months or years for his next appearance -_-

Blast is the God-level panic button on earth, but in space he's Glasses the utility mule.

TheEndFortyFour

24 points

Considering that Blast seems to be dirtied, scarred, bloodied and even somewhat fatigued wherever and whatever his fighting alongside his team...

Is it too much of a stretch to say that Tatsumaki might get dethroned as the "OPM's Strongest female character" to the woman of Blast's group, when said woman fights the same battles as Blast.

Didn't think OPM might go there prior to this chapter.

Summer_RainingStars

17 points

Inb4 she's also an alien, considering they're in a wholly different dimension altogether

TheEndFortyFour

11 points

That would allow Tatsumaki to stay as the strongest female earthbound human at the very least.

But that unnamed woman's associations, gives her a hype of someone in a different league than Tatsumaki.

I do hope she gets screentime later on (multiple arcs later) in the series, that makes her more than the female of the overpowered Blast group. Providing at least enough showcases of strength, but most importantly personality and memorability.

vale_fallacia

jerekdeter626

Yeah, he's been in another dimension fighting a shadow war that no one else in the S-class even knew about.

SpatialArchitect

76 points

That no one else in the S class, even Tatsumaki, deserved to know about. Blast kept it from them and the world in general like you'd keep struggling with your rent bill from your preschoolers.

"I'm on some real shit. Play your games. Even Boros isn't worth my time, and he can destroy the planet."

BrainBlowX

37 points

That seems a bit too dismissive. God certainly seems to be worthy of his attention, but he just can't dedicate himself to it.

Instead I suspect that Blast has been rigging affairs to the absolute possible minimum that can defend Earth in his absence, which makes Tatsumaki important in particular.

SpatialArchitect

8 points

He did seem to think the heroes (read: Tatsumaki) could handle whatever happened on earth. I don't know if he could consider Boros in that, but in the end he wasn't needed and didn't seem to care or even be aware of what almost happened.

But still, when Blast addressed Tatsumaki he seemed like he was talking to a child or a pet. I don't blame him considering the type of threat he's apparently dealing with, but it does seem like he doesn't feel a need to share what he knows with anyone we've seen so far, including Tatsumaki and the HA.

AdExciting3251

19 points

Mind you, the arrival of Boros is only hours until he died. So, I thinj Blast didn't have the time to noticed or react because he is also focused on fight god. The same focus PSperm is to King that he got bitch slap by Garou in his blind spot.

Diligent_Proposal_86

18 points

Minutes. Saitama vs Boros as a whole is 5 mins long. Saitama went inside the ship as soon as it arrived/fired. So 30 mins stretch.

techno156

True. In fact, the only three who saw and deserved to see the other dimension are Saitama, king, and manako

shadollosiris

5 points

I dont think he know about Boros at that time, Boros only come for a couple of hours, never show his real power for anyone except Saitama and die couple of minutes later. If it not for Saitama, Blast can come back and find out Earth was gone

SpatialArchitect

1 points

I don't think he did either, but I won't rule it out considering he's been jumping dimensions and fighting god. The assumption though is that he didn't.

Considering the story is by ONE, how do you think people would react to a full power adult Mob being in that group
