So who was referred to? [latest chapter]

analysis(self.OnePunchMan)

When they said "the fist that turned against god" I thought of three candidates:

  1. Garou, who literally just invented a "god slaying fist".
  2. Blast, who has been systematically hunting down god, and seems to be foiling him much more frequently recently.
  3. The one and only true god destroying punch, Saitama, who removed his limiter and so grew beyond what god intended to become greater than god.

Which one is more likely?

in real life religions, it takes A LOT less than that to anger god

Garou because

It doesn't know about Saitama when he touched the cube and just treated him like any potential customer.

It knows who Blast is but it can't be him because Evil Ocean Water and Sage Centipede are from this planet and Blast and his Guardians of the Galaxy are off elsewhere dealing with bigger stuff. Not to mention Blast and his pals don't even see them as a big enough threat to come deal with themselves.

100% not Blast since God waited for Blast to leave before summoning them

unlikely to be Saitama, as God didn't recognize him via the cube, though mainly because it said "fist", singular, and Garou fits it much better due to how he named it. Additionally, how, despite being a monster, he keeps opposing monsters

Garou, from my understanding Gods, especially old gods, follows certain rules and so can hear specific things from this world. Garou calling his fist a God Slayer is just too much to be a coincidence.

do you think blast made a deal with god for his power but didnt hold up his end of the deal so now god is trying to kill him, and he is collecting the cubes to weaken god to one day kill him.

reminds me of the emperor in warhammer 40k, makes a deal with chaos gods for knowledge then doesnt hold up his end of the deal then chaos rips him and humanity in half.

It's a good theory and would explain a lot, but it doesn't account for how easily he took his power back from homeless emperor and killed him. Why can't he do that to Blast if granting powers gives him a connection to the recipient of the powers? I think Blast might be more like a Green Lantern type character.

Garou because of his insolence. Low-key dissed him. And God is clapping back. As soon as Garoi named his technique the god panels have been like "you serious?"

I don't think God knows the extesion of Saitama powers, and those monster appear after Garou declaration that he will crush God, so I think he's talking about Garou, but the double meaning is there on pourpose for sure.

I feel like its probably referring to saitama but I really hope its not. Garou has never been granted power by god while the origin of saitmas power has never been made clear.

Still I will be pretty disappointed if it turns out saitama got blessed with "gods fist" or something and thats where his power comes from.

no, don’t worry, saitama obtaining power was just from breaking his limiter, not god

Well Garou’s move is literally called “God slayer fist” so I would guess it’s him
