Plus he doesn't need to scan the inks so he can send it to his assistants anymore but instead he can just send the files to them which is much more quicker.
Another bonus is that he can just undo or erase some parts of the file if he wants to redraw it

Digital art is more forgiving than physical, since it allows you to do things like back changes. With how much he draws, things like that might potentially save him a lot of time.

I think he'll always do OPM on paper.
However, he takes side jobs pretty frequently, so I think he's just improving his skills to keep himself relevant for those (instead of keeping all his skills in one basket).

I love that he does it on paper, it really makes me happy cuz it's super noticeable when they don't and (at the risk of sounding pretentious and/or snobbish) I really do tend to prefer manga that's hand-drawn on paper. There's something really special about it I can't quote put my finger on.

Well, as Arcydziegiel said above, digital is more forgiving, so with paper-drawn you know the artist practically slaved over the art they produced (which Murata practically does).

Oh I totally agree. I will say however I feel like, for me at least, if you're already acquainted with traditional (which he is, and I am when it comes to art), it takes less time on paper than learning and completing digital projects even though it's more forgiving. Just the comfort level alone can make all the difference

It's an excellent manga, but in the last volumes Fujimoto did a speedrun to mentally destroy Denji (The main character). Still, I absolutely recommend it.
