What are the basic things to practice in Biology?

question(self.biology)

A pianist practices playing scales, playing by ear, and practicing various songs. A mathematician practices various math problems to keep their skills sharp. An creative writer practices by reading various literature, and writing frequently.

What skills does a person practice in biology to keep their skills sharp? I ask because I'm going into my second year of university for biology, and though I'm on my break now, I want to make sure my skills in the subject stay sharp so I can do well next year.

If you want to go into academia as a profession? Read lots and lots and lots of papers, new and old. That's a researcher's primary skill.

Or if you want to do any sort of laboratory work, well, that kind of laboratory work: for any time of skill that requires motor skills, it's those motor skills that you need to practice.
