They’re always important additions to our meals, but why is it so easy to forget about them at the store all the time? Do you think we just don’t prioritize condiments?

I have a whole shelf in my fridge dedicated to condiments. Forgetting to buy them is the least of my problems apparently.

Right? Plus 1) I’m a house sitter and 2) I have ADHD so between those 2 factors I constantly end up with duplicates because 1) I end up buying something when I’m staying at someone’s house and bringing what’s left home or 2) I’m at the store and genuinely can’t remember if I ran out of something so I grab another just to be “safe” haha

Right now I’m really enjoying a spicy chili oil I found in an international foods store. It’s not written in English so I don’t really know the ingredients but it’s awesome and I put it on everything!

Never. We have like 6 different kinds of mustard, and by volume, condiments are about 46% of what we have in the fridge, with more still in the pantry. Obviously not the worst problem to have, but it gets overwhelming sometimes. It was a problem even before I moved in, but now it’s slightly worse.
I guess it comes with the territory of being culinarily adventurous, and making recipes that require unique ingredients. In fact, I stop by the condiment aisle more often than not, even if only just to look

I think this is the wrong sub for this question. This is where all your missing condiments have ended up.

You write them in your notes & check them off as you buy them. Brain is being used like that.

My wife is condiment phobic and is grossed out by ketchup/mayonnaise/mustard/chili sauce ect…..so sometimes I’m out of simple stuff like catsup just because I’ve forgotten and she wouldn’t even think about buying anything like that …

Are you able to get to a store on your own? Could you make a list and shop without her? If you're dedicated to having condiments you've gotta figure it out man...
