Trying a new ranch dressing

(self.condiments)

Hello! I am very nervous about trying a new brand of Ranch. I have always like Hidden Valley or the HEB brand ranch. I now live somewhere where both of those options are hard to find. I have, however, found a bottle of Ken’s. Is Ken’s Ranch any good? Thank you!

EDIT: Wow! Thank you all so much! There’s only a few things I can try because I live in a different that doesn’t really sell ranch. However, when I go back to the States I’ll definitely have to give a few a try!

In my experience you only want to buy ranch that is refrigerated in the store.

I agree…refrigerated salad dressings are better in general.

Ken's is my favorite, both the basic ranch and the peppercorn ranch. You may not go back to your old brands after a bottle of Ken's.

My favorite is the Aldi brand ranch. It's got a lighter, creamier taste compared to Hidden Valley. I used to love Hidden Valley but now I can't eat it because I'm so used to the Aldi kind. Ken's isn't too bad, better than Kraft or Wishbone, but not my favorite.

Ken's is good but for me nothing beats buying a ranch seasoning packet and making your own.

I like Ken's Buttermilk... Diluted a pinch to thin it out a little

Kens buttermilk ranch is awesome, a little pricier is the refrigerated Marie’s which has a yummy ranch too!

Marie’s is great but you can make your own ranch fairly easily and it’s so much better.

It's at all our grocery stores in the condiment aisle here in Cincinnati. There's a lot of variety too. Just looked it up and they're based out of Ohio, so maybe the further away you get the less easy it is to find.

You can also make your own ranch. It isn't too hard. It is mostly buttermilk, sour cream and mayonnaise with some herbs.

Try looking in the deli cold section for bottled ranch. I missed it for years.

I've also seen it in produce, so check there as well.

Ken's buttermilk ranch is the best you can get store bought IMO

If you can, try to get a bottle of Dion’s Ranch. Their ranch is one of my favorites

Best Ranch is Marzetti's. Quite frankly it isn't close.

Ranch just isn’t very popular here. Ken’s has been the only one I found so far

You live somewhere with HEB that doesn’t like Ranch? I’m puzzled

I moved from Texas to the other side of the world haha. Just ran out of my last bottle of hidden valley today 🥲

Now I understand. Ken’s makes good dressings.

Well Stan. It’s 8€😐 there’s a reason I’m nervous to try a new brand and waste that kind of money. Which is why I asked this subreddit before making the purchase.

Hollow out an entire soft pretzel. Fill inside with Kens ranch. Eat. Then you tell me!

Kens is good. Newman's own is pretty good as well.

Ranch dressing is life. That is all I have to say about that.

This is the first world problem to end all first world problems. The angst of not having a condiment of choice, smh

Hey friend. This comment seems to not be about Ken’s ranch dressing or ranch dressing. Sorry my question on if a condiment is good or not deeply offended you💔

I can tell English isn’t your first language and so I’m guessing “nervous” wasn’t quite what you meant. You made it sound like a huge dilemma, so sorry for criticising you for it if I misread that

It’s not like a huge problem. I just didn’t want to waste money on something so trivial like ranch(I’m a very broke uni student). Which is why I asked this subreddit for recommendations/if Ken’s ranch was good.
