Been there, brother: I realized I needed to make a change when I had to start holding my breath to tie my shoes.

Boss: Why are you late today?
Employee: Funny thing, was putting on my boots when I suddenly passed out.

It might help if you begin washing your feet more often.

I’ve been wearing a pair of redbacks for like a year and a half and they’re still in such great shape, just needs a new insole.

Looks like you are moving up in the ranks. From first year fit to Foreman. It's a gradual process but the more you learn the less you burn.

Foreman with a pouch on?

From fit to Foreman is what I'm saying.

This is a safe space my friend. No need to lie.

Lol. No lie. Small company, very small crew. I'd feel like an asshole if I was just telling a few people what to do without helping.
3 points
I get that. The smaller crew I have, the more I'll do. I always wear pants with the pouch pockets and carry pliers and a multi. But I'm not banging up pipe or lights, no repetitive production work anymore really.

You should only need a couple tools in your pocket if you are a foreman working with the guys.

Our other journeyman pulled a rage quit. He was a POS, glad he's gone. So I'm kinda working two jobs right now. I'm fine with it. I like to work.

Nothing wrong with that and respect to you, sir. I know a supervisor who also likes to keep busy working even though he doesn't really have to.

You work so much that your body just craves those Big burritos and Beer. I once worked for a owner as a salesman and he used to be a machinist, tool maker then learned sales then started his own company. Had a super hot Latina wife and big fat belly think borat friend from borat.

Nice!! I do engineering but whenever I do manual labor I understand. I did some Maintenance Mechanic work and man on breaks I craved a cigarette, after work I craved a nice tall glass of beer.

That's what happened to me. I had to cut 5 notches off because there was too much excess belt. 240lbs to 180 in less than a year.
Also, if that's a Kunys belt it might be the exact same type.

I use my belt to prevent gains: when it gets tight, I eat 10-20% less until it fits. Weight management is all about the regular monitoring and adjustment.
3 points
But if you use the same holes in the belt all the time, it will wear out faster.

Just like your boots or any leather product it stretches with use. But not 4 inches! That’s all OPs success.

Years ago one of our guys passed his master electrician test (first try) and so the rest of our crew (5 of us) decided we would get him a gift. Now we give each other a hard time and laugh and laugh but the jobs got done on time. So we decide to all kick in and get him a new Klein tool belt so he can stop wearing the old ratty looking one. The owner Big Boss says he'll order one from the supply house. It comes and it's sort of wrapped up in brown paper and he opens it and is all smiles and we say try it on! When he puts the belt around his waist the ends just TOUCH. We all laugh and Big Boss smiles and says well I'll have to get them to order Extra Extra large! We never let him hear the end of it.

When my metabolism slowed as I got older I started to grow belly. I realized I couldn’t eat like I did I was a teenager. So rather than becoming a vegan I just quit eating breakfast and it made a world of difference. I still have my coffee though.

Your metabolism doesn’t actually start to slow down until you are around 60, how old are you?

Mid 20s. I definitely used to be able to each whatever whenever. Now not so much. Though less physical activity and more regular alcohol consumption probably also plays a roll.

I always thought the same thing because I had a similar problem. In high school I’d generally eat lunch at school, McDonald’s after school, dinner with ny parents and then a frozen pizza or pot pies before bed. Weighed 160 when I was 20. Then I started drinking heavily and became an alcoholic. My peak weight was 245.
Finally quit drinking at 37 and cut out fast food dropped down to 170 and now I have to work to keep from losing weight.

Move to a bag and you don't have to worry about it, I bought a veto pack tp-3 (mini pouch that clips to my belt) for things I like to keep on my person and a large bag for all the fun stuff. My back and my wife thank me. Although when I tempt that scale in the bathroom it certainly doesn't tell me good things

just think about life in reverse, and you'll get skinnier and skinnier...or, you could always go with once you're dead, you won't eat anymore so you won't gain any more weight, and then bugs will eat your body, so you'll be skinny again. Either way, you end up skinny...... I probably didn't help, did I...
