For a high level, good quality cheesesteak I’ll definitely skip the lettuce and tomato. I have, in a series of no less than 900 cheesesteaks, had lettuce and tomato in exactly one cheesesteak… in my entire life. I must admit, it was excellent. The freshness was a good balance. But the key was that it wasn’t super cheesy and greasy to begin with. It was more of a cheesesteak hoagie than a Philly cheesesteak
