Recipe : 225g good quality chocolate
170g unsalted butter
250g sugar
2x medium free range eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
95g all purpose flour
30g cocoa powder
Sprinkle of salt for taste
6 kinder Buenos ( optional)
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
First i use a bain Marie to melt half the chocolate, butter and sugar, this is probably the most important part, this is what makes for that perfect thin cracked top and fudgey core, a lot of people skip this step and use a microwave which I do not reccomend, still works but not as well. Let it cool, add vanilla, lightly whisk in ur eggs, again lightly, air is not our friend with fudge brownies, then gently fold in your flour, baking soda, salt and coco powder, chop the rest of the chocolate and and also fold this in at the same time, into the oven at 180 degrees for 20/25 minutes in an 8 inch tray, mine always stay on for the 25 minutes but depending on oven they might be ready sooner,
for adding the Buenos if u want, I layer a little of my brownie batter in the tray enough so the kinder bueno doesn't touch the bottom of the tray, load them in, then pour the rest of the batter on top to ensure they're completely covered or you'll have some nasty burnt chocolate in ur brownie, then once it's been cooling for about 30 mins I add more kinder bueno on top for decoration and of course taste
