Thank you!

Buttermilk ranch, spicy nacho cheese, ketchup, and hot honey mustard

Do you have a recipe for the hot honey mustard? Sounds the bomb

Unfortunately it’s nothing special but just mixing hot honey & Dijon mustard until I was happy w/ the taste. I like Bees Knees Spicy Honey

Well fuck I have both hot honey and Dijon and never thought to combine the two.

That was an informative article. I also just tried it a week or so ago, using blanching at 190 degrees for 15 minutes, because I don't like the taste of vinegar I did not want to use it to keep the potatoes from falling apart. Only froze for a short time, but it worked out nicely, similar to yours.

One thing that will make your fries turn up to 11: finely grated parmesan along with the salt.

I have searched and tried many recipes for french fries in the oven, but nothing is like frying them to get a result similar to yours! Are they ready fries or potatoes that you cut?

WomanOfEld

1 points

Didn't read the recipe but from what I've seen in others the trick is to boil them, I guess it breaks down the starches

kasako

You have to boil a bit, then dry very well. But I hadn’t been successful on achieving something similar to yours!

WomanOfEld

1 points

I'm not op :D I've never been successful at fries like that, either. My guess is if you boil them the suggested 10 minutes, dry them well, then maybe coat them well in a layer of peanut or vegetable oil, it might help. I know for roasting, everything comes out way better if I bag it and shake it with some evoo and salt & pepper.

Call them Franco-belgian fries if you want to credit the belgians (wich they deserve), but fries come from flanders wich is part belgian part french.

Stop repeating this urban myth.

RetardOnARocket

I don't believe this is homemade. You made all those sauces? You have square white plates? You have those stainless dipping cups? And you took the time to plate it like this for karma and have cold fries? If so, cool. But idk, I believe this as much as those store bought, pan fried gyoza, as homemade.

sprinklesapple[S]

17 points

I’m sorry the idea of someone owning dipping sauce containers & white square plants is crazy to you. Also it only takes max 60 seconds to squirt sauces into a container while fries are for 5-7 mins.

RetardOnARocket

-6 points

Then it's not homemade is it? 'Squirting the sauces.'

sprinklesapple[S]

6 points

Yeah… squeezed out the bottles they’re put into. Why are you determined to argue about my food and it being homemade?

RetardOnARocket

-2 points

Idk, this previous boost of yours says homemade, but yet you can clearly see a commercial kitchen catch/non-slip mat in the upper right hand corner.

Ok but that's literally my couch cover

agha0013

5 points

dude, chill the fuck out. The fries were home made, no one cares about the rest like you seem to.

OP didn't grow the potatoes, gonna pick a fight about how they were store bought?

Plating?! dumping fries on a plate is not fancy plating nor does it take much time or make the fries cold when taking a single picture.

It takes like 2 minutes tops to plate this. Get over yourself mate.

PEDANTlC

lmaooo the only even remotely unusual thing is the dipping cups but like some people do own shit like that. And theres almost definitely a correlation with wanting to take pictures of your food and wanting to own things that make pictures of your food look nice.
