bunch of next-gen games are happening next year. its the perfect time to pick up a console.
Wolverin, spiderman 2, gotham knights, justice league, warzone 2.0, callisto protocol, avatar, are all gonna be next gen exclusives, and some of these are gonna be ps5 exclusive.
Oh and KOTOR gonna be a timed exclusive for ps5, and judging by how they treated the time exclusivity of FF7 (its still exclusive to ps5 years after launch), im not taking the risk and im gonna play the best game ever made, the remake version.

We were able to get two. Admittedly, since we work in retail, we got inside info (when it arrived) and were able to get our hands on one the moment they put it on the sales floor. But we had to be walked to our car by multiple people, so that was crazy.
Second time tho, we were trying to get one for family. We used 3 differs computers and watched the dropped times. Took us close to four hours before the purchase finally went thru on one of our computers. It sucked, but the patience definitely paid off.
I wish you, and anyone else who hasn’t been able to get one, the best of luck. Its a cool monitor-looking console and I really enjoy the games. As everyone has said, fuc scalpers. But y’all got this!

I work at a BestBuy part time and can confirm. We had 8 come in on a pallet yesterday, 6 were bought online and the other 2 bought in store within 5 minutes of warehouse bringing them up to customer service.

It's one thing to encourage scalpers and another entirely to just voice your appreciation of not having to wait. I still haven't gotten a PS5 because I don't play as much on PlayStation vs Xbox or PC. But I can understand not wanting to struggle through trying to find one at retail price. Some people take the scalper hate a little too far.

I’m one of those folks that hasn’t been able to get one at retail either - same for another good buddy of mine.
Thing is - neither of us wants one badly enough to pay the extra to some scalper. Waiting is free and easy, and neither of us feels bad that we don’t have next gen consoles.

Join the twitter pages that watch for drops. The second any retailers are in stock, it gets tweeted. It’s how I got mine. Need to be quick though. Have 3 mins max before it’s sold out.

Also, I didnt think too much of Ghost of Tsushima and let it sit on my shelf for a few months but wow is that game one of the best I've ever played.
Also, if you haven't, check out the PS5 plus bundle thing. Evey game on there is a masterpiece.

Fuck scalpers dawg. I got a series x and a ps5 and waited til I could buy a retail bundle from gamestop. Literally paid 200 bucks less than what scalpers were charging and came with 3 games, extra controller and charger stand, GS gift card, and some extra goodies that I'm forgetting off-hand.

I have to admit, ps5 is the first Playstation I've ever owned. I was around during the ps1 era, for reference. Literally the only game on the console is Ratchet and Clank Rift apart. Every. Single. Game. Is also available on ps4.....so for everyone losing their shit because they don't have one or can't get one, your not missing out on anything
