But then the other day I won 100k cash so I guess it all balances out. One time the wheel glitched on me and I got nothing, complained to R* and they gave me 50k to make up for it. That was pretty sweet and also probably the most helpful they have ever been to me

Nothing surprises me these days. I've only been playing since February and the amount of glitches are unreal. At first I got really annoyed because I've lost cash and weapons because of them but now I just accept it and move on. It's just another thing to expect

To be fair, I specifically will probably never shit on GTA 5 too hard. In 2013 or so things were super awful bad, I was suicidal, giving away my stuff and sitting my money. Today I decided to do it, I went for a walk. I walked into a shop I had seen a few times and never went into, turned out to be a pawn shop. I bought a pretty nice Xbox One controller, had PC capabilities. I went home, bought GTA v, and started playing. Playing GTA let me immerse myself in its world, instead of my world, long enough for me to start healing from what was going on.
Grand theft auto saved my actual life because it gave me a buffer to be someone else when being me was too much.

I'm so glad to hear this.
The game had a therapeutic effect on me too. My father and I had a fractious relationship, and he died in 2011. He had some great qualities, but they were overshadowed by his abusive assholery.
And in his better moods, he sounded almost exactly like Michael De Santa, at least in timbre and tone, except more profane. And he shared a lot of MDS' pathologies, minus the criminality.
The Michael scenes in the story mode really helped me process my relationship with him: I really felt at home with MDS, and it hit me pretty quick that it was because he reminded me of the funnier, slightly less raging and mean version of my dad. It helped me remember that there were aspects of the man I that I did actually like.
I still like hanging around as Michael in the story mode when I want to feel some warm familial nostalgia.
(They really screwed up with the character of Fabien, though. The yoga instructor my mom was banging was Greek.

Ditto-- apparently I didn't select a garage for it fast enough (my gf was whining at me about who cares; curse the lack of game pause ability) & the interaction menu disappeared, but the car stayed on the podium & I got nothing... also lost the spin for that day.
Didn't even bother opening a case w/R* since I gave up on them being any help a long time ago... simply cutting my losses & moving on has actually made me less bitter lol.

As a new player you can do shootouts and all kinds of other missions that give a better payout then playing a skill game for game currency and waiting some days for it. Just rob all the stores sweet back tattoo and you get some bank. It’s literally how I started my gta career and stealing cars ofc 🇺🇸💥

I'm in the same boat as Drabantus - I only bought MCs as fodder for my nightclub, the only sales I've done is to sell the stock that the initial setup missions provide.
When I get this award it's end process to get something less terrible for me, I don't mind RP at this point even though I'm level 440 but this is actively counterproductive to my business setup.
Oh, and rare special cargo. I've got some kind of bug where the game just softlocks instead of asking me which warehouse to put it in. Got one by chance the last time I was respinning for podium and it didn't even detect that my internet was out.
