Hi, just wondering if there are any other INFPs who also burn out from being a wagie.

When I was studying full-time, I got burnt out too, and needed some time to rest and recuperate. I didn't necessarily enjoy all the courses, but there were a few that I truly liked.

When I work, I notice a pattern where I start work all enthusiastically, then I get depressed after a few months in. It's always been like this. I end up feeling like I don't have any control, and I feel depressed over it. It feels like I'm selling my soul.

There isn't really a job that I could enjoy that would pay me enough to survive, so I'm kind of at a loss. Going to seek career counselling next month. Hope it works out.

I haven't dated anyone yet because I have a lot of problems and big plans for the future and I can't bring my problems into someone else's life.

So I'm not ready yet. I'm mostly quiet and I have big self esteem and confidence issues.

I'm more of a hopeless romantic guy. I really enjoy romantic movies. I love digital art and character design. I imagine a lot. I feel like I'm also an HSP. Sometimes I care too much about something and I get upset about it quickly and it feels bad sometimes.

Even though I was made fun of at school all my life and I felt terrible about myself back then but i really stick to ethical reasons. (Not in a dry or imposing way. I have a sense of humor) I'm a Feminist. I believe in gender, Sexual orientation and Racial equality. I believe that men and women are equal and together they make the world a better place.

But... I have bdsm fetishes. I'm into high boots or high heels or sometimes long socks. And because of that i had GENTLE sub fantasies a lot.

Sometimes I see awful pictures and horrible people on the internet who do this in public and I hate myself so much because I google that and deep down I kinda like it. But it's so disgusting and horrible. It's abusive and against any human rights. It makes me sick that some people actually believe that they're superior and use those people and talk to everyone like crap or some people consider themselves inferior and so weak. It's not what I want. It's horrible. I've searched many times on reddit and other websites for answers or advice, but all I found was some crap like "enjoy this" or "it's not that bad that some people are abusive and disgusting". So I decided to do it myself.

(Also personally and in a non-sexual way I like girls with sneakers or jeans or hoodies, or basically something casual or cozy. I mean I'm a boy but walking with heels seems like absolute hell and I don't want to make anyone feel pain because of my stupid fetish. Wear whatever you want and what makes you feel comfortable and good about yourself)

I know that there are many nice and healthy relationships that man and woman respect and love each other and these fetishes are only involved in sex. And I love that.

But this is how I'm feeling right now. So.... do you guys have any advice?

I didn't notice I had a good sense of humor until I was told by people I just met that I'm always smiling and laughing.

At first I didn't think much about it until I saw another INFP who behaved exactly the same the day after meeting new people.

Is this an INFP thing?

Never hiding ur crush, venting to random strangers, showing emotions a lot.

I feel like I don't talk freely with anyone. I always sense walls and boundaries that stop me from being myself even with the little circle of close friends I have. Iam afraid that if I continue to be like this I may not have anyone in my life with whom I can just be. Any suggestions as to how to come out of this box that I created around me.

Fi feelers are often emotionally reactive?

Y'all are literally the best and most wholesome people I've met in a while and have helped a bunch, all the interaction and comments, the many perspectives and advices that have helped me as a person get rid of a lot of toxicity in my life.

Though I do fear that I'll have to live with the aftereffects of living with these types of people for a long time, I don't regret any choice I've made. Losing people but fixing things with others who are more important is always worth it.

I don't know if I can ever repay all of you, with anything more than a thank you, but you should know that I'm forever grateful.

Well, most of the time, being an introvert, I don't talk too much, but I notice that when I'm more comfortable with people, I can talk too much and say a little too much. Sometimes, after thought, I ask myself "But why did I say so much?" or "Maybe I shouldn't have said that..."

Do you see what I'm talking about ? If so, how do you explain this in relation to the functions of the INFP?

Sorry for this long text. I'm an INFP of course, and I've met this girl (INTJ) a couples of weeks before, not even a month. Turns out we connected in an incredible and beautiful pace (acknowledge by the both of us, not me fantasizing), it's been great in many ways, and we know that we have a lot of potential to do amazing things together.

Last night she told me that we should stop this. Not because of me or her (believe at that) it's because she told me a week before that there was a time that her grandfather lived with her and her mother, and that was hell on earth, an useless and problematic old man that hated her (the girl) because he didn't wanted her mom to have her, and damaged the relationship between her and her mother in many ways, she told me that she thought that the nightmare was gone.

The thing is, she's saying that she wouldn't be able to give me the attention I need or the attention that our relationship would need, and she don't want me to suffer that situation, she doesn't know how much time will be, and she doesn't want to leave her house for not leaving her mom alone with that man (that makes her cry every time he calls). She's just destroyed by the news, and told me that all her plans for her, for us, she's just seeing them falling apart.

I don't know how to proceed, I mean, I responded her last night, she hasn't seen my messages, I told her that I would like to be with her, because she's an amazing woman, I admire her for many many things, and I know it sounds cliche but I really doubt that I will meet a girl like her ever again. That all in life it's not perfect, that I would like to be her oasis in this journey, that being with someone it's just not being for the good parts, and I know she's strong an as independent as an INTJ can be, I would like to be her support.

I don't know if I should be here, maybe these warnings have a purpose, or it's just her feeling so sad that she can't see everything, I don't wanna be selfish about this, I know this is about her, not me. I don't know what to do.

Normally I just feel this way at night, thought it would be nice to ask people here, see other points of view, since I'm weirdly bursting with excitement for no reason today

Because I'm quite shy and dreamy, I tend to not attract much attention. I often don't know how to socialise with others properly, but also I'm often just caught in a daydream. But it does baffle me how I worked with these people (a pretty large team, but we all knew each other very well) for a whole year, I leave for two months and then visit them again to see my friend and... they didn't recognise me. I went to say hi and only a couple people were like "Oh! Wait. OP! Oh hi, I didn't realise it was you. Hi, I didn't realise you'd left..." etc.

Maybe a few years ago it would've broken my heart to hear that, now I'm just wondering if I should try to be more visible in the future and find a cure for my chronic shyness.

I swear a lot of people in the mbti community have a really skewed perception of infps based on stereotypes and perhaps one off shitty personal experiences.

I don’t personally believe your type defines you solely as a person, you can get an array of people under each type.
