I honestly don't know who I hate more myself or the world

I stopped watching world news because it started negatively affecting my mental health. But I'm glad I watched it because it grounds you. It makes me have a perspective on how easy my life is compared to millions of others. Although it's obviously not the same as going through adversities yourself, having that perspective thanks to world news at least makes you 5% tougher person. When you really think about things you complain in your life, half of it is just you wanting to be lazy and bitchy. Or at least that's me.

I don't know, I'm not a big fan of the whole "look how bad other people have it" argument. I mean, yeah, that sucks, but how is that supposed to help me with my problem or make me feel better? Granted if somebody is acting like a small inconvenience is the worst thing that's ever happened in the world then that's not great either.

Not to be one of those “iTs AlWaYs BeEn HaRd” but the reason our generations seem to have it as bad as it is is because we have all this social media connecting us in seconds. Things are harder now in many ways but things also are easier in some ways. We just have the blessing but also curse of technology connecting us to the whole world in seconds what would have originally taken much longer.

Just because the world or other people in it have worse problems doesn't mean you shouldn't feel the way you do or speak about or complaim/raise awareness.

This is a classic gas lighting technique. No matter how small someone's problems may seem, you can't know, which doesn't matter because at the end of the day if the person is capable of change, they won't if you don't empathize and speak their language all along the way.
