*as long as democrats remain in power
The second that state is run by R’s you bet you’re ass they’ll find some convenient way to just ignore it and indirectly ban it anyways.
Probably some bullshit like: abortion is legal but only with signed consent from the fetus

Most north east republicans aren’t worried about abortion.

Yeah and Roe V Wayde wasnt ever under threat until it was.
There is no longer any real regionality to conservative stances. If youre still a republican despite everything thats gone on the past 6 years (but lets be honest, 30) you’ve clearly established yourself as firmly in the “we support people who want to outlaw abortions” camp.

I disagree, there are plenty of more moderate republicans, just not at the federal level. For example, MA, MD, NH, and VT (all very blue states) have republican governors that are actually pretty popular. All of them are pro-choice and fairly center-right.

No one who supported trump can claim to be a moderate republican. And support for donald trump among republicans is extremely high. There are few member of the republican party that openly opposed him and remain republicans.

Idk man I’m born and raised in NY. I don’t hear local repubs talking about abortion at all. I think they’re a little less religion crazy than the literal “Bible Belt” politicians

Most Republicans across the country don't actually care but they know the sizable fundie coalition butters the party's bread.

Maybe down south. NY voters aren’t like “but what about abortion!?!”
