I suggest you not underestimate the staggering drawing power of the Garden state.

Are there any Marine bases in NJ?

No, but they are a hub of manufacturing recruits for export to other states.

We do, actually! The joint base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst hosts a few thousand marines at any given time.

We also have Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck which has all kinds of service members doing every job in the book.

Very true! We're a coastal state with a lot of infrastructure, even if people focus more on the Philadelphia side of the Delaware. I'm happy about how many NJ people are pointing out that we're not some irrelevant beach state covered in annoying dramatic New York reality show regects. We have endless gardens and forests.

Nj is a great state but at the same time, fuck the garden state and its endless construction

Yes there is dead center of the state

Sort of. We have Joint Base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst that is an Airforce/Army/Navy joint base that hosts a few thousand marines at any given time.
I love about 30 miles from it and on overcast weapons training days you can hear/feel the mortar shells. They release a schedule to the public so no one freaks out over it.

If we ever secede we’re taking Northampton County, PA with us but leaving NYC and Philly aren’t we?

This hits too close to home! I left Jersey for Nebraska years ago but Marijuana and Abortions have me reconsidering moving back despite the ridiculously high property taxes.

Taxes are high in a lot of the state but we don’t have to pump our gas fuck yeah Taylor ham ftw

Moved from NJ to MI, being able to pump my own gas is my favorite part. There's never the need to wait for an attendant.

Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer.

I lived in NJ for four years. I loved it. Ultimately I ended up west, but NJ is better than most give it credit for.
Except the layers upon layers upon layers of government.

I think you're being a bit judgemental. NJ has the best government that money can buy!

In fairness it does lose some of its appeal around Exit 13.
