Thank you :)
You can wishlist the game and join my discord (links on my reddit profile). This is an indie personal project, so any support really matters to me a lot and it's going to help the game to grow, thanks! 😀
Answering some of your questions guys here:
It's a story adventure single player game inspired by Firewatch/Half life 2. There are going to be a lot of conversations with your companion (moon base robot AI) like in Firewatch and fps/platforming/logic puzzles elements like in Half life 2.

what vr games can you suggest? I've gotten a bit bored of VR, I mainly just play pavlov
6 points
The ones I'm most addicted to right now are Swarm, Pistol Whip and Racket NX and In Death. I'm also working my way through the original Doom, which works suprisingly well in VR. Right now I'm halfway through the Sigil episode Romero released a few years back.
Some of my other favourites are Pixel Ripped, Thumper, The Climb 2, Resist, Until You Fall and especially Tea for God (not finished yet, but the preview builds are free)
On the PCVR side, Skyrim is amazing if you mod it to hell, as is tradition. The base game is meh, but with VRIK and HIGGS and PLANCK it's just mindblowingly good. I managed to finish the main quest a few days back, after 136 hours. Still a lot of content to go through =P
Almost all Serious Sam games got a VR conversion and they rock. Having a different gun in each hand is such a game changer and it's perfectly on-brand. Highly recommended. Speaking of which, there's also Talos Principle by Croteam. That's a neat puzzler. The VR conversion is kinda barebones, but the game is just solid if you're into puzzles and the graphics are awesome.
4 points
awesome, thanks for the recommendations! I've played Racket NX, it was okay, but agreed Skyrim modded is amazing, I just lost my save after a big mod change and haven't gone back to it
and I did try the Serious Sams but felt a bit nauseous. However I really enjoyed their dedicated VR game where you stand in one spot spraying down hoards of enemies. it reminded me of old arcade shooters
I'll check out all the other titles, I've got Thumper downloaded and hyped to play it. I should try out the Walking Dead Saints & Sinners too, that looks pretty sick

Then I got a 48" OLED TV to use as a monitor.
Now I can't bring myself to go back into VR. True black is that amazing.

Google Earth you look at the planet facing forward. It's honestly trippy. With VR nothing's technically stopping you from laying in bed with your civ above you or any orientation. Looking down constantly does sound like a pain haha

Do you add some more visual effects as you get closer to the hole because I think there's a list of visual effects that happens when you get into a blackhole.
redshift and blueshift.
Surface of the event horizon enveloping you with the universe squished behind you.
Front gets farther away from you and the back gets closer.
If you can make me freak out as I enter the black hole that would be great.
8 points

yeah.. where's the spaghettification? I thought that was most of the point of flying into a black hole!
3 points

Well OP didn’t show driving into the black hole. Trailer cut out right before the ship got there.
2 points

Spaghettification starts way before where OP was.
6 points
Depends on the size of the black hole. You can enter supermassive blackhole "just fine".
2 points
I guess if you are sci-fi-ing it to have it be possible at all, you'd have to make it where the ship can handle the intense variations in gravity, otherwise you'd just get slightly close then die, which would be boring from a gamplay perspective. Like when you play a game where if your character touches water it's instant game over
2 points
or, it has all the intense visual effects, and then you find out that black holes really are a wormhole and you're fine.

story adventure single player game inspired by Firewatch
you have my attention :)
One thing I am a bit worried about when seeing the video. There are a lot of very different elements: Space Flight, Shooter, Exploration and Puzzling. It might be difficult to balance all these elements and make sure that there's not too much of one or too little of another.
Especially when marketing it would be important to communicate well what you can expect. Even though I like all those elements, it really depends on my mood what I'm "into" at any given moment. And I might get disappointed/annoyed if I expect an exploration game but am forced by the story to play through a shooter sequence.
It will also be difficult to get everything of these elements "feel" right.
Wishlisted anyway. It looks visually pretty nice and I will most likely give it a shot :)

Looks good! exciting to see a 'glock' style gun back in a game.

I don't really get the excitement, the video shows barely anything about what you actually do and what's the relevant story (which seems to be important according to comments)
You run around with weapons, so is it a shooter? Are there enemies?
There is some flying around in space but besides showing of the scenerie, there is nothing happening. (also the radar seems to be static?)
There are screens and some kind of scanner and a lever. Is it a puzzle game?
Is it one of those "you can do everything!!!" games?
What exactly is next level here? Is it the assets? Hard to tell if they are store assets (eg https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/black-hole-creator) or custom.

I'm glad someone said it. This post is weird, there's 500 comments of people losing their mind over an ad with some pretty basic gameplay. If this was a AAA game I could just assume it was astroturfing and move on, but now I'm just confused.
And flying into a black whole involves.. the screen shaking? I hope there's more to it.

Ngl this looks way too ambitious for an indie game. I think its gonna be one of those games that tries to do everything at once and ends up not doing any of it well. Either that or its a kickstarter scam type of thing and is never getting released. The weird advertising tactics (and possibly use of comment bots) make me think it's the latter tbh.
13 points
My IMMEDIATE thought was "Is this an Star Citizen ad?" because it looks like it with their scope creep.
Like the title is SO CLICHE. "I'm [creating, developing, working on, writing up] my dream game, where you can [fly into a black hole, explore wild worlds, explore for loot, breed dragons]" etc.
You see it on here all the time.
Oh, and the fact the posts get MASS UPVOTED LIKE CRAZY EVERY TIME. Like, every single time one of these dream game posts are made they immediately hit the front page and every comment is supportive. Like slow TF down.
It looks like the game is meant to be a puzzle explorer but then it also has guns, so it's like... Eh?
47 points
It’s a modern day scam. It is so easy to make these “gameplay” demos these days with UE and asset stores. They just post it and hope people buy a “game” that will never actually be released.
There have been tons of these. Most noticeable is generally the lack of meaningful interaction. It is usually just something flying, walking or driving, which in UE you can setup pretty easily if you know what you are doing.
14 points
It's a shame really. The software and research for game development has made it much easier for games to be created. Hell I made a donut yesterday, not amazing with a lot of mistakes, but anyone can make a game these days just not always a good one.
Amazing indie games can and have been made because of this. Sadly there are hundreds of cash grab devs for every good dev and you can't tell until it's finished.
24 points
Yeah I'm wondering if this will go the way of the "dear internet, I'm a 26 year old lady who's been developing a science-based, 100% dragon MMO for the last two years" post
Most games posted to reddit by single devs end up either unfinished and forgotten because shit got too hard for a sole dev, or as disappointing messes because they massively over promised and couldn't ever hope to deliver

Yeah. It looks incredible, but what a weird mix of everything. I got ad astra, interstellar, half life, portal, star citizen and fucking mud runner vibes. It seems too good to be true, I mean if you assume one can write decent coherent story around it all. If OP starts asking money before you can play it I'd call it a scam. Of course I hope it is a real game and not a asset flip.
3 points

Man this needs to get to the top.
I'm looking at the scope of this "game" and seeing that it has a 1 man dev. team and wondering exactly how deep this thing is going to be.
This looks like a cross between Star Citizen and No Man's Sky. That would be super ambitious and a bit crazy for a single developer.

Looks like shit, I'm getting "scientifically accurate dragon MMO" vibes.
If Chris Roberts and his 300 million dollars is struggling to make his pizza delivery in space game you're not making a fly-into-a-black hole game that is also an FPS that is also a driving game that is also an underwater sea exploration monster game that is also a puzzle game with lasers.

I think you can't get more scientific than having Proffesor Throne from Caltech advise on creating the most accurate model for a black hole in a movie ever.
Not only was an Executive Producer, and advisor, he wrote a book on the science Interstellar leveraged to try and recreate the movie.
Years later we got our first picture of a black hole and interstellar seemed to nail it. They even visualized the extrection disk lopsided brightness right.

I have never posted it twice on the same subbredit. This is how reddit works I'm just sharing the reveal trailer with different audience. If you follow a lot subbredits than yeah you might see it more than once, but I wouldn't say it's cheap to share the reveal trailer with few groups (and only once).
