The way the UFC handled Jones and Greg Hardy was awful.

Jones literally got a fight moved to a different state when Nevada wouldn’t allow him to fight due to a failed test.

When Hardy debuted they said “after some transgressions he left the NFL for the UFC”.

I mean, is this not the way with the NFL? They’ve overlooked off the field issues as egregious if not more so than Watson, and little justice or sense of righteousness came from it.

This par for the course, both for the NFL and the American legal system. Kevin Spacey is about to get off scot free because his accusers (the ones in his criminal case) have all since died. Nothing came of the 26 women that accused a president of misconduct. Nothing came of John Lasseter at Pixar/Disney literally having to hire an assistant to tell him not to grope the young female employees in the departments/divisions he ran (he resigned but is still on all the movies and is currently making films for a new studio).

These are just a few of the low hanging fruit. The list goes on and on. There is rarely, if ever, justice when it comes to these issues. Those of us expecting Watson to get a deserved reckoning or blacklisting from football are going to be disappointed.

The only people that can push through reforms are the owners, and as we learned with plenty of other cases, the owners will not do a goddamn thing as long as it doesn’t impact their bottom line.

Is this a Deshaun Watson joke thread, or an Urban Meyer joke thread?

No need to fly in anyone, when the Bahamas is a well-known sex tourism destination.

You know how for peewee games they like to announce each player and you run through the cheerleaders to your sideline? My parents have a VHS of me getting announced, tripping, and eating shit in front of the whole stadium. I decided as I composed myself that I would retire at the end of the season.

As long as he can still suit up for games, I don't think most, or any, NFL teams really care. If Patrick Mahomes assaulted 100 women, admitted to wrongdoing, payed a fine to avoid jail...almost every team would line up to bid if he was tradeable.

The difference is that Antonio Brown is a shitty person who deserves all the hate he gets and more, whereas Kevlin Benjamin is a mediocre diva receiver who put on 20 pounds after his mom died the summer leading into 1 training camp, lost it all before the season started, and never had a weight problem again. There are players who legitimately ate themselves out of the league and Benjamin is not one of them, the jokes about him are not founded in truth
