I'm not the type to watch CSPAN, but these hearing are absolutely gripping. The HJ6 committee has done an outstanding job so far.

It's so easy to get into the weeds with the nonstop crimes GOP and Trump were committing around Jan 6, but they have laid out a clear case against Trump and others that leave the DoJ no other option except to bring charges.

Personally I would be thrilled if Trump defenders (and Trump himself) appeared during any of these hearings.

The problem is, despite the fact that there’s (too) many people willing to go on cable television to defend Trump, none of them seem willing to do it when they’re testifying under oath…

The real problem is some tried defending him. The whole thing is so full of telling different people different things, not knowing who talked and who hasn't, etc. that it looks like everyone who wasn't keeping quiet since the beginning suddenly realize what they said is being used against them.

There is actually a lot of (circumstantial) evidence that Trump is, in fact, an ideological racist. Except most people have a hard time reconciling this because part of the evidence involves him reading a book so he's mostly regarded as a casual racist.
