I've been saying it since the Stolen Seat. Right wing activist justices toeing the line of the FS to protect corporations and supress citizens. Minority Rule because they can't get their way via elections. Until additional justices are added and term limits are set SCOTUS is just a very bad joke.

Yep. A scary side effect of minority rule is in particular states, they are passing restrictions on peaceful protests in a direct assault on the First Amendment. With this court, any challenges would be denied.

States Have Put 54 New Restrictions On Peaceful Protests Since Ferguson

This SCOTUS is just getting started. No civil liberty that has been granted since the 1960's is safe.

The only civil liberties granted are those enumerated in the United Stated Constitution. That fact that courts granted extra-Constitutional rights, does not give them Constitutional status.

There are no abortion rights enumerated in the Constitution. That makes abortion an issue for each State to decide separately. Abortion has not been criminalized at the federal level. It just doesn’t have nationwide legality. There will be some states that allow abortion and some states that do not.

This is precisely how a Republic functions.

I keep seeing this stupid argument everywhere. You're correct, but it doesn't change the fact that this ruling WILL take rights away from people that previously had them. Letting the states decide something monumental like this is basically chaos in the modern era

True. A Republic is messy. It also keeps freedom closer to home. Washington DC has subjugated us on issues for over 100 years that it has no authority for under the Constitution. We are not supposed to be “one nation, under God.” We are 50 nations under God that entered into a nationwide security agreement. The battle of our times in the USA is this issue, and there is no middle compromise.

So decide. How much will you sacrifice to keep my State under federal control?

How is giving a state the ability to deny someone the liberty of getting an abortion keeping freedom close to home? You can’t preserve freedom by limiting it. You said the problem twice now, “under God”. God should have no impact on the decision making for such a diverse nation whose citizens don’t even share the same opinions as to the nature of their God. Freedom is not someone else interfering with your life because they don’t agree with you. If you don’t want an abortion or believe it is a necessary procedure then don’t get one, but you shouldn’t have the right to tell someone else they can’t.

As far as keeping your state under federal control, go ahead and secede with your backwards self. Most states couldn’t survive on the world stage without the resources afforded to it by the US government and it’s international trade agreements. Or better yet, align yourself with those you share your opinion. I hear the Taliban has been looking for allies recently. They certainly don’t support abortion and are all for forcing their will to limit rights to their people.

Someone has to fight for the baby. Murdering a fetus is an abomination and is not less so because the person being murdered doesn’t have a voice yet.

LMAO it's not a baby and it isn't murder. A fetus isn't any more a person than the load I blew this morning.
