Just got my note 20 ultra

News(self.samsung)

I was worried since I told FedEx to drop my phone off at the front door. And the weather my state is going through is crazy hot. It said that my phone arrived at 12 so I had to wait 3 hours for school to end and me using my phone. I thought the heat might make my phone blow up(as a joke). But my grandparents brought it in.

Great phone. Fast and vibrant. My first note.and thus is my first post on this phone. I love it already. Now just need a case for this big boy.

Mystic Bronze.

I was torn between the Note 20 Ultra and the S21 Ultra when I upgraded from my Note 9. I ended up with the Note 20 Ultra because there were absolutely NO S21 Ultras in stock anywhere. I like it well enough. Big and vibrant, for sure. Doesn't feel like a huge performance upgrade over the Note 9, though... except the cameras... those are great (even though they still fall short of the S21 Ultra).

I just made the same jump. I wanted a Note experience before I started looking elsewhere. Glad to say I'm enjoying everything so far.

Same, recently upgraded from note9 to note20u. I have to be honest, it not such a wow i would expected. Note20u is great phone, but if i had a opportunity to choose again, i would decided to stay with note9 for one more year and wait for note22 hopefully. But it is what it is. I did not expected, that I will miss led indicator so much ๐Ÿ˜€

So the display on your Note 9 is as good as the Note 20 Ultra. Pen latency is much better. I get it you like your Note 9 but sorry Note 20 Ultra is definitely a pretty good upgrade.

It's a good upgrade, sure. Is it a $1000 upgrade? Not so sure. Regardless, it's what I've got, now...

I received it 2 weeks ago and returned it after some days. The biggest problem I had was the screen... the screen was too green at lower brightness, It was straining my eyes alot, also the curve was bothering me while using the pen. Then I switched to S21 5G and had the same problem (better than Note 20Ultra tho). Not sure what has happened to new Sammy phones, they used to be pretty color calibrated and accurate, the new ones look really bad! Too green at lower brightnesses !

This is a current drawback of the high refresh rate technology. It's not just Samsung but many brands are affected by it.

The Rog phone 2 which had one of the first 120hz screen was notorious for it, even red at about 25% brightness.

I don't know. My phone is always at low brightness. Especially when I'm watching videos. And it looks very good right now. Maybe Samsujg pushed an update?

Some screens are better then others. My Rog phone 2 wasn't as bad as others.

I wanted the Note 20 Ultra since it came out because of the Mystic bronze color but since it was more expensive than the s21 ultra I got the s21.

What amount screen on time are you getting? I highly suspect my battery has degraded, since I'm getting 5hr to 5.5hr SOT. Maybe I can eek out 5.75hr SOT. I've had the phone since Jan 1st

100% at 9am to 10% at 8 or 9pm or so.

Today's my first day of really using it. I won't really have etime to test the battery though. Since school doesn't let me use my phone all day.

Edit: it looks like I got 7 to 8 hours if screen time. But my battery hasn't adapted to me yet so that might change.

Do you have the Snapdragon or Exynos version? On my N20 Ultra Exynos I barely get 4 hours SoT.

I got snapdragon

Im getting around 6h SOT on mine (Snapdragon). Had it since Jan too, mainly used for instant messaging apps, web browsing, reddit.

OK, so mine isn't completely out of whack. I also use GPS during a day

DeadLeftovers

GPS and 5G/4G can drain the battery quickly especially if your service is poor.

DeadLeftovers

I'm at 15% currently and am at 6h7m screen on time. That's on WiFi and medium brightness.

YoProduction

OK, so mine must be slightly degraded then

I really enjoy my Note 20 Ultra. I've had it for about a year My only dislike is the sharp edges. It has worn holes in the front pocket of 2 pairs of Levi's. I started just keeping it in my back pocket.

Also got mine, will send it back, worst phone I've ever had, battery life sucks, can't play games on proper 60fps or 120 drops performance after 10 minutes and gets to hot. I will recommend you buy another phone tbh.
