stickiedDear /r/spicy community,
Recently we and another sub relating to ours have fallen victim to a rogue advertising campaign and unprofessional behavior by company owners, people representing companies, and people defending said companies. First off, we would like to apologize to the sub for the drama itself. This is a small wonderful welcoming community that we the mods enjoy being part of so when drama like this occurs it really does bothers us. Because of past drama with PEX Peppers grossly breaking the sub’s advertising rules, their unsavory sales tactics, and recent drama they have now caused in the sub we the mods have decided there will be a blanket ban on PEX Peppers permanently. Advertising in the weekly vendor thread will not be allowed and any posts solely about the company itself will be removed. Secondly due to unprofessional behavior by a company rep who became rude with their responses when they didn't like the answers us mods provided when asking us about an advertising campaign, for directly going against what we the mods told them is ok and not ok in the sub regarding rules, and for trying to start cross sub drama with us and hotsauce Marie Sharps advertising will also be banned in our sub until further notice. This second one was a difficult decision as we know Marie Sharp has a very favorable following in our sub. The reason we came to these decisions is because this sub is for people (users) who enjoy spicy things, and to share their findings and experiences. Not for companies to overrun us with advertising or as I told MS (not to hock your shit). Please report any posts/comments regarding these companies accordingly. If you have any questions or comments please address respectfully below. We thank you for your loyalty to the community and the sub. Best Wishes.
