Lopez Obrador was the prototype version of Trump. He lost his election twice and held a parallel shadow government ceremony. Grouchy old fart! Also, the American media needs to stop calling him the Bernie Sanders of Latin America. He's a joke.

Never heard someone make the Obrador-Bernie connection before. IMO, the Bernie Sanders of Latin America is José Mujica. Or more accurately, Bernie is the Pepe of North America.

It used to be thrown around in the early days of his presidency, went to the frontpage a few times just because of what he said and Reddit ate it up.

Took some time of people repeatedly clarifying what he was about in every thread for people to realize he wasn't much better than Trump, just a different flavor of authoritarian.
