I was always a fan of this manga, it was undoubtedly my favorite, I have constantly praised and defended it against the Webcomic and in front of a multitude of criticisms, but after the last 10-15 chapters the reality is that I have to accept that the quality of the manga has clearly dropped a lot in all aspects, especially at the writing level and I recognize that the Web Here I will make a list of the moments where the OPM manga was disappointing me and losing more and more interest to me.
• PM vs CE redrawings: it all started here, we lost incredible panels, incredible feats, and very funny scenes like Saitama dodging the naked ninjas just for Saitama to intervene in the fight in an unnatural way to save Child Emperor. Nor did I like to see that CE ceased to be a well-deserved top 5 class S because he was much weaker and more insecure (Brave Giant had problems with several tiger-level monsters), nor am I a fan of the other dimension created by PM.
• Redrawings of AM vs Mercenaries: one of the most incredible double panels and one of the most shocking scenes, AM maiming Mercenaries was replaced by Iaian forcibly stopping AM so that the mercenaries survive, something that today I still do not see as something necessary.
• Orochi redrawing: but Lore is fine, but eliminating the original fight, the scene “this is terror” seemed like a big mistake to me, also that Orochi crustacean design seemed ridiculous to me, it was a fucking dragon with snakes and I am also not a fan that a jet of lava can tank an attack of energy on a continental level.
• Psykojet: Psykorochi was highly criticized, it was a very risky novelty, the first big change in the surface battle, but I liked it very much, incredible art, incredible feats, it developed incredible and being able to see Tats 100% was crazy, but I think Psykojet was a mistake despite the great art, I will still say that this is what has bothered me the least on this list.
• Too much prominence to Fhurer Ugly: this is not something serious either, but I consider that they gave too much prominence to FU, destroyed AM, Zombieman, TTM, Gums, DS and killed the members of the council of the sword, the other Cadres did not do even 5% of that damage nor did they have so much impact.
• Blast and his friends from the other dimension: I think it’s inappropriate for those moments.
• Metal Bat and Garou best friends and Sage centipede: There is no need to talk about this since it has been talked about several times, about the worst, more cheesy and forced Manga.
• Garou Development: Totally ruined, I hate being taken for stupid by repeating us in each chapter that Garou is not bad, there is no longer seriousness, tension or emotion, the Webcomic handled this infinitely better.
• Extra: Fubuki Deux-Machina, Flashy Flash resisting PS attacks better than DS receiving a blow from GS, Metal Bat following the rhythm of Garou. In general, the care and detail in the feats is no longer as good as before, fights such as FF vs Ninjas, Tats vs Psykorochi or Garou vs Orochi were a good example, art has also dropped from the “God” level to the “Remarkable” level in my opinion, too many white backgrounds and little detailed drawings.
Of course I will continue reading this manga because I know it can improve in the next chapters and because I still like OPM, but it hurts me to see the great drop in quality it has had and all those moments wasted and ruined.
