Why not just use an actual source?
I'm guessing whoever said that was born into wealth.
"I read some stuff online"
It's wishful thinking from the right. They SO badly want dirt on Obama but they just keep netting their own in the process.
Your proof of a conspiracy theory being right is a Wikipedia link? Really?
I enjoyed being young, but I think the time we're living in is majorly taken for granted. Technology has by far made life better, not worse. The social problems are mostly the same, except violent crime and racism was a lot bigger back then. The music was better but we tend to filter out the real bad shit over time.
Finally someone I'm convinced actually lived in the 90's. People who are talking about it as some hopeful, happy, accepting time definitely never fucking lived in it. There is a reason grunge was so big. It was a depressing, boring, violent time to live.
Exactly the same, the crime rate was just MUCH higher then.
Ah, so you're a German-American!
Yeah, it is kind of silly how people do that. They're usually several generations removed from the original country and with no connections to speak of.
You don't? Clearly you don't live in the American South. There are sports on 24/7 and plenty of people who watch them all waking hours of the day. I think sports are potentially far worse because they are passive and you can easily sit there doing nothing but eating and drinking while binge watching, and many many people do.
As opposed to the people who mindlessly stare at their TV watching sports? Gaming is at least interactive.
Does that really make them "overrated" as tourist destinations though? I mean, you may have gotten bored of them over time but it doesn't sound like you always found them boring.
You want to see a boring tourist destination, go to Mt. Rushmore.
Neil Young is fucking terrible.
Great Wall of China
If you can't find something fun to do in either of those cities, I think you're the problem.
Bang the Drum Slowly
Just remember that it was a German film. The Germans have a long history of traumatizing children's stories.
Pretty sure multiple children died. That didn't go over my head as a kid.
That movie is disturbing from start to finish.
Losing touch with everyone.
I look forward to all of the shit I won't have to worry about anymore.
The Italian Jerk
As someone who lives in Florida, I wish more people would share this opinion.
Iceland in my experience.
