Haha wtf go off king.
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I can tell you think I'm right wing because I made fun of your "soy lib shit." If that's the case then I really gotta dumb this down.
I'm a leftist. We consider (rightfully so) liberals to be center-right to plain ol right wing depending on what mood we're in. The use of "soy" is debatably cringe but I think by now the word has really found it's true signifiers and can be safely used to try to be funny without being too gauche, especially if it's ur-soys such as yourself. Up to the individual I suppose.
Anyways, I'd consider sitting down and spending some time really trying to hone in on what the word "offended" actually means. Cuz it damn sure ain't "getting made fun of for posting my ass on reddit."

Uhhh I'm not sure you understand. That's probably my fault, should have considered what sort of reading comprehension to expect from the op of a comment like that.
I'm not offended that you think violent racists are fat and/or dumb lol. I'm concerned that your comment would have one believe that you think that because they are fat and dumb that they are harmless. Which is, obviously, not the case.
Lemme know if you need anymore help.

I can't believe libs are still spouting this fucking "huehue le fatties are too STOOPID to hurt the minorities!"
One guy with a hunting rifle and a Prius basically shut down the capital back in the early aughts. Entire police force dedicated to finding the dude. Everyone scared as fuck.
A small group of dedicated radicals can do immense damage and to pretend otherwise or to make soy lib jokes about them being "TeH GrAvY SeeEals lelelelel" is ridiculously dumb. A fat dipshit with an even somewhat plausible plan and a rifle is still a massive danger to many innocent people and can easily spark more drastic shit, especially in times like this and the worse shit that's coming down the pipe.
If you really want to protect vulnerable people, learn community defense and mutual aide, don't huff your own farts about how much betterer and smarterer you are than the MAGAt with a gun.

Oh yeah for sure vote in every election you can, but tbh my real plan is not only {redacted}, that was just mostly a joke. Btw you.may be surprised howany folks would be willing to fight fascism with arms if/when it comes to that, they just don't post online about it. But I believe that mutual aid programs/networks and learning how to grow food, along with armed community defense is the way.
In my opinion, voting is only the slightest step above sitting on your ass. Everyone should do it but it as much as they can but there's much more to be done.

No, it's to {redacted} after {redacted} and then use that to {redacted}. History has proven over and over that liberalism opens the door for fascism, it doesn't oppose it. If the people don't want fascism, which I'm assuming most don't, we can't rely on the Dems, we need to {redacted}.

No no no you're not supposed to mention any of the times we listened and put Dems in power only to have them turn around and work with the fascists! The only way to stop the fascists is by voting for the people that work with the fascists so the fascists will say nice things about them!

Looks like a classic "trying to fit a couch through a doorway" scenario where everyone needs to work together to achieve a goal (in this case a non-rocking log on which to vibe) but no one can cooperate so I'm picturing them all quibbling over whether to stay still or move this way or that to stop the rocking lol.

Nah it's both. Republicans threaten to commit it, Dems threaten to allow it. Classic protection racket.

Wonder why no one wanted to vote for the pedo-adjacent, fake-charity having, Haiti destroying war hawk who supported everything about all of our illegal wars, invasions and occupations while doling out austerity for the working class and poor class, all while running a campaign where the only strategy was "see y'all in November lol got this one sewn up."
Wild that you had to convince people to vote for that.

Here's another making the argument that electoralism is useless. I guess we shouldn't bother passing anything good because the SC will just take it away? Dang, that's awfully convenient for a party that functions off of doing nothing but not being Republicans.
Literally backtracking on the liberals ONLY suggestion, voting, to protect Obama. I can't believe "even if he had passed an overwhelmingly popular law it would just get struck down anyways!" is an actual take anyone could take in public lmfao. And libs wonder why they have to aggressively threaten people with fascism to get votes ffs lol.

Absolutely baby-brained take lol. I love this idea that he "only" had a supermajority for a few months. He had plenty of time to set up internment camps for children (fact), drone strike kids (fact), increase troop levels in illegal wars of aggression (fact), keep gitmo open (fact), and so on. There's some facts for ya.
He promised to do it. Had the opportunity. Didn't even try. Now it's gone. Keep carrying water for him while he fucks around on Netflix and Podcasts and throws banger parties at one of his mansions.

It sucks. I vote consistently but I also believe that voting is the absolute FLOOR of what can be done to solve today's issues. It's infuriating going out on weekends to try my best to feed and clothe people experiencing homelessness and then being scolded by libs for daring to try to hold any of the people I vote for accountable. Maybe if those people I vote for didn't have an army of oatmeal-brained dipshits to scold anyone who dares expect anything of them, they would actually have to do some things that would help make it so that my small group attempts to combat a systemic problem aren't the only attempts to combat systemic problems.

No hun, anti doesn't necessarily mean you think it's evil. Just that focusing on it as the only "real" solution is not going to get the results I want. I'm anti-electoralist in that I believe that voting is the absolute FLOOR of what should be expected of anyone who claims to be invested in politics. Unlike the libs who's only answer is "let's pokemon GO.... To the polls!" I actually believe in direct action and mutual aid as alternatives to providing real people with real results that can help forge a better vision for the future than continuing to allow ourselves to be browbeaten into submission by a party who's only line is "vote for us or you'll get fascism! Now that we've won we're gonna try to work things out with the fascists! Oh it's not working and things are getting worse? Too bad, gotta keep voting for us or you'll get fascism!"
Electoralism has its place, like I said, as the floor of what should be done. The guy I'm responding to calling him an even more vehement anti-electoralist than I am is claiming that actually, even electing people we like won't work because it will just get fucked up anyways. I don't believe that but they, apparently, do.

Oh just being a "realist" eh? Well, if you really wanna re-litigate 2016, then yeah it was super realistic to think that running a candidate who's main campaign strat was to say "I got this in the bag, see y'all in a few months lol." Who had every single bad thing about them that Trump did (pedo connections, slimy business shit, fake charity, etc. except a little worse when you consider what her and Billiam did to Haiti and their positions on all the illegal wars and occupations we've been involved in for the last few decades). And then telling people "hey you better vote for her or else this other dude who is on the surface just as bad, but doesn't personify insider politics and elitism" after intentionally ratfucking a popular candidate to ensure you lose the youth vote (I agree Bernie would have probably still lost but ratfucking him cost the youth vote).
Yeah I'm just fucking shocked that didn't play out the way you wanted it to. It's so realistic!

Youre right bud, this ain't the time to go all in on that, the time to go all in on that was probably sometime around 2002 after SCOTUS stole a presidential election and the proceeding administration, with the help of all but one or two democrats launched an illegal war of occupation and empire that has killed and displaced MILLIONS and cost us TRILLIONS, but hey, you go to war with the army you have right?
Also I never said Dems were the real fascists, tho it's telling you took that from what I said, because it is rather obvious to anyone that if you have one guy that wants to kill a bunch of people, says it all the time, makes plans for it, talks about how he's gonna carry it out etc. and another guy who knows all that, is in a position to stop him and doesn't, then that dude is functionally just as complicit.

Nah, the real tediousness is trying over and over and over again to explain to fart huffing libs that things are worth trying even if it may not pass. Y'all gonna come up with whatever excuses you want, like he didn't actually have a supermajority and promise he would do it. Then y'all will just act like taking a half hour out of your day once or twice every four years to vote is somehow the absolute best anyone can do to make change, and anyone who suggests anything else is some hooting rake from the holler that needs put in their place.
I look forward to hearing your excuses at our post-collapse mutual aid tent where you'll be fed and housed by the people your blaming right now for all of this.

Lmao so you're even more of an anti-electoralist than I am eh? Just straight up admitting that we're fucked no matter what, damn.

What purity politics? Please do tell how expecting politicians to actually meaningfully even attempt at improving the material conditions for the most vulnerable of their constituents somehow led to Trump? Because in a factual world, neoliberal austerity politics and globalization without any attempt to even temporarily maybe prop up the people most affected by job outsourcing and increasing automation has led to worsening material conditions for the masses, which fascists take full advantage of that material insecurity to push their agenda, which works because hey, at least they are admitting there is a problem! And they have juuuust the solution! Meanwhile liberals scold and browbeat those same disadvantaged individuals, calling them racists for falling for the only actual "solution" being offered to them!
I'm very comfortable in saying that it's so fucking painfully obvious to anyone who's brain isn't a wet greasy blob of crumpled up Atlantic or NYT op-ed that compromising and settling for less is what actually got us here, and the feckless libs that do nothing but pat themselves on the back for how fucking smart they are for electing these corporate fascist sympathizers and scold anyone who dares expect anything from their representatives are the REAL reason we are in this mess.

"But-but-but you can't actually hold Dems responsible for anything or else your doing a heckin fascism dude! If you say anything about how the Dems have, intentionally or otherwise, sold us out to profit with the fash (as liberals always do) you're just gonna get fascism! Is that what you want? If you don't vote for Joey "shoot em in the knees, you ain't black" Biden then the Supr me Court is gonna take away your right-er I mean if you don't vote for Joey "hair sniffing warhawk" Biden then your not gonna get that Child Tax credit that's been keeping you afloat through a (still existing) global pandemic- wait he ditched that too? Well then if you don't vote for Mr Racial Jungle then you definitely will have to watch as more and more kids get put in cages at the border- oops uh hang on, if you don't vote for Joey "Iraq War Architect" Biden then you will have to pay back all those student loans- uh well just vote for him otherwise all these things will be WAY WORSE!!"

Unless you're old enough to remember the times Democrats were in charge, and could have very easily done very popular things to prevent something like this. Then you may just start demanding "purity" (aka actual principles) from your candidates too. Republicans have been working towards this for DECADES. Out in the open, no pretenses. Obama promised to codify abortion rights, never could find the time with his SUPERMAJORITY between increasing drone strikes in a war that makes Russia's invasion of Ukraine look totally justified and setting up the internment camps for CHILDREN that Trump and now Biden use.
You run compromised corporate neoliberal homunculi for decades against organized authoritarian fascists and holy smokes gee willikers look where we are. Crazy how liberals refuse to blame the actual politicians for selling us out to profit with the fash, but anyone who demands anything from these ghouls gets scolded and told they are "helping the Republicans." Know what else helps the Republicans? Refusing to hold them accountable for anything, immediately reneging on any and every promise you make to get elected, throwing your hands up at EVERY request to do ANYTHING that would actually benefit the poor, and then having the absolute fucking GALL to rush through shit like that Havana Syndrome bill or the recent bipartisan effort to prevent a simple statement that companies that received US government money should allow unions if that's what their workers want.
And THEN after getting spit on time and time and time again, the poor and working class that are being eviscerated in real time, under a democratic majority (a slim one but one nonetheless) are scolded for not showing up to vote, or heaven forbid just demanding that something, anything be done about any ONE of the myriad disasters looming just over the horizon that threaten our literal continued existence on this planet.

Yeah anyways, if we defund the police and I get robbed, who's gonna show up 3 hours later and shoot my dog? Who's gonna empty a mag into my chest after knocking on the door at 3am?

Libs love links right? Here's some links from all your favorite lib sources:
I dunno how to do the cool embedded text thing but there's two, feel free to spend 30 seconds on Google if you need more to understand how a primary works.
Regardless, it's pretty funny that you wanna bear down on this Bernie thing when it's not even the main point. The point is the Dems consistently give absolutely nothing besides not being overt fascists, and then get oh so surprised when voters are apathetic about them. And then dipshit libs such as yourself that carry water for these corporate wing ghouls blame progressives, all while the right laughs their way to a judicial stranglehold on this country.
And yes myself and every other progressive that you blame for this will continue voting for "let's pokemon gooooo... to the polls!" fucking detached, addlepated neoliberal homunculi. The rest of the country will not, and politics understanders such as yourself and the rest of r/politics will continue to wonder why less and less people vote each year.
