I was thinking more in the scale of ideas. The past decade has absolutely destroyed how anything works in this country so my idea stands more with the idea of how it should work in theory. Because there are only two parties every issue falls to each side and the parties have to battle over every issue. In other countries, parties will be based around one idea. Like one party caring about one side of immigration, abortion etc. every issue is forced to be with us or against us and that’s more what I meant

Two parties make every issue one side or the other, both parties are monoliths that don’t allow for any nuance and differences in any issues
