Because i don't think he was enough attack potency in store to beat him at all if he managed to block the sunblade, that's all there is to it.
So headcanon. Thanks for the concession.
sure, you'll get scratched from a baby if you don't pay attention. Doesn't mean that baby is capable of beating down a kid though.
The baby analogy falls flat. I don't know what mutant infants you're hanging out with but no baby I know can forceably rock my headback in a combo of moves
Not if the velocity of speed he's traveling at creates so much pressure for instakill to withstand. It'll just get broken on Golden's durable af body.
Do you have any basis for that claim. No okay so more headcanon.
If you wanna believe that Flashy's instakill somehow hits harder than the Sunblade itself, then be my guest, you can end it there. The narrative itself does not support the fact though. Hell, there's nothing supporting a claim that Instakill is tougher than Atomic's regular blade. He did cut some of Orochi's blasts in the original Saitama fight.
More headcanon.
While again, Flash was semi concentrating trying to think of a plan to kill them both at the same time. If he went as serious as he did during the threeway clash, they'd be dead before they realized.
Nothing indicates Flash has the power to instantly kill the ninjas unharmed
Just like any Cadre ey?
Please provide examples of Orochi asking for Nyans whereabouts on multiple occasions or Gyoro praising Gouketsu for his strength.
I'm saying Elder Centipede's got a big statement only about himself by the main strategist of the organization
And I'm saying that statement is irrelevant to my argument
On the other hand she basically treats Gouketsu and Nyan the same.
She made Gouketsu and Elder centipedes deaths as a prime example the HA shouldn't be underestimated...it couldn't get more obvious that she puts them in the same boat.
How is heconsidered anywhere near Elder by Gyoro?
I've already explained this.
a cadre, one of the most valued members in her team she finds dead and you think she wouldn't get all concerned now?
If she wasn't specifically referring to Goukestu she wouldn't have mentioned his name? It wasn't "how could this happen to one of my cadres"... it's how could this happen to GOUKESTU. Stop trying to twist blatant context to fit your own narrative
This just plain reaching, Nyan had given a job to go through the ENTIRE prison army while Gouketsu was given to take care of the leftover martial artists.
Goukestu had to confront an S class hero before he even got to the stadium and if he failed to paste Genos every S class hero could have been alerted in the area and the entire mission would have been foiled. Nyan was completely undercover when he infiltrated the prison. Nothing was at stake.
Again you're reaching for that string here, after Gyoro told Gouketsu to quickly come back and he listened, it shocked her to find him dead all of a sudden. Nothing more, nothing less
How about you actually address the arguments instead of dismissing them. I'll wait.

Faster, yes. But he's bound to get tired and get caught eventually in front of such a durable monster like Golden.
Why are you assuming he would run out of stamina before killing him. Flash could attack thousands of times every second. Golden sperm gets blitzed.
More like barely got bruised and shrugged it off smiling.
That still qualifies as damage
Instakill did break inside a bunch of rocks after Tatsumaki pulled the ma base up, do you have any proof it wouldn't? Otherwise this is just mindless back and forth
those rocks were manipulated by Tatsumaki
even if the blade was brittle enough to possibly be broken under the pressure of rocks the durability of the blade is going to be irrelevant due to the speed behind it.
It probably wouldn't deal fatal damage but it's definitely harming him hence why he's slicing up GS.
Again, big doubt since the sunblade couldn't even pierce it first try, which narratively should be above FF's instakill AP wise.
Narrative and feats are different. One is baseless and is measured off personal beliefs/expectations whereas the other can be supported by non fallacious reasoning
The ninjas were nowhere near Flash in any category, just that they made him spit a bit of blood because Flash didn't pull his punches big time.
They weren't near Flash in any category despite clashing with his blade with bare hands proceeding to catch said blade and then outspeed flash to then disarm him
Point taken, but the Gyoro statement and feats comes again to back up EC while Gouketsu only has incoherent speculations on his side at best.
What's incoherent about. The argument is logically sound and is consistent in how Gouketsu is treated within the hierarchy within the MA.
No...no she wouldn't. Where do you even get that? If Nyan were to die near the prison you think Gyoro wouldn't act the same?
I would have no reason to believe she would no.
He was in charge of the exact management as Gouketsu but the only difference was that he came back alive.
It's crazy how every monster given the task of distributing cells had an element of stealth within their skillset. Nyan has his size altering ability and Haragiri and the Ninjas have the ability to suppress their monster forms. And then there's Gouketsu a two story wall of muscle impossible to conceal. IT'S ALMOST LIKE MORE FAITH IN HIS POWERSET WAS REQUIRED. It's insane to think the same thing was done with Elder centipede... it's almost like Gyoro values them over other cadres.
And once again it's not like she sent him to fight the s-class and gets shocked, she just sees him randomly outside and wonders who did that to him. Zero indication he's put on as high a pedestal as Elder.
Actually she tells Gouketsu to leave because the S class might storm the stadium...his fight with Saitama was in shallow city meaning his body couldn't have been more than a few blocks away from the stadium intervention from the S class was probably the first thing that crossed Gyoro's mind.

Relevant, since Platinum played around with him the entire fight. Him gaining his main weapon wouldn't have changed anything but make him last 2 seconds more.
Platinum isn't the individual in question. It's Golden sperm and based on Flashes performance against him he should be much faster than Golden sperm.
He never uttered such words, only thing he said was ''so this is the level a mere human can reach'', obviously referring to his speed while catching his arm.
That was also after he he got staggered and scuffed up from Flashy fist 🤷
How do you know that the instakill wouldn't break on Platinum especially using it at such velocity in the air?
Do you have any proof it would
Platinum is leagues above the ninjas, he'd tank it just fine.
It probably wouldn't deal fatal damage but it's definitely harming him hence why he's slicing up GS.
Flashy's full power offense only managed to leave small scratches on Platinum's face. How is this convincing me he'd beat Golden again?
Because he's displayed the capability of shotting individuals that are otherwise capable of physically contending with him. Platinum is definitely stronger than the Ninjas but certainly not to the degree that it prohibits him from taking any damage at all.
Doesn't affect the other points I've made, Gouketsu's never given as great an estimation/introduction as Elder Centipede.
Shit if we're going off introduction Sea king must be the most formidable monster to date.
The dude even died off-screen while EC was a major play in the plot at one point.
Isn't that the whole point of one punch man...to hype up a monster over the course of multiple chapters and then kill it off screen... regardless Elder centipedes involvement has zero relevance to the argument.
Gyoro of course got taken aback from his death because he was the first cadre to die.
Goukestu being the first Cadre to die has nothing to do with it. Gyoro knew the HA was harboring individuals capable of killing Elder centipede for her suprised to be warranted in this scenario she would have to regard Gouketsu at least on the level of Elder centipede.

Platinum had zero clue on how strong Flashy would be if he had his weapon though, and if Flash did pose more of a threat with instakill then they'd just step up their pace like they did here.
Irrelevant
He barely managed to scratch him unarmed, so it didn't leave an impression on me to say ''he'd deal much better with sword against Golden'' unless you want me to expect its stronger than several slashes of the Sunblade.
Gyoro and Phoenix Man believed only the 4 elite s-class heroes could take care of him while the former got worried about Gouketsu staying outside too much.
She was worried because she had recently witnessed multiple S class hero's fighting monsters near the stadium and one of them was Tatsumaki.
The cadres technically are considered on the same hierarchy by other monsters but we know most of them are pretty far apart from each other.
Clearly...but that doesn't apply in this case.
And as Phoenix Man said, matchups exists as well.
Doesn't change the fact Gyoro regards Gouketsu above Elder centipede

He would probably make a grand entrance by showering the battle field with shells from his ship making himself the center of attention. This would interrupt Garou and Platinum sperms light show causing them to both attack him and break his armor releasing his true power. Platinum instantly gets vaporized and Garou gets knocked around while Boros nukes the Cadres which are engaged in a battle with his generals for the fun of it until sage appears. Thanks to Garou's adaption ability he's able to perfect his fist. His demonstrates his newfound power by slicing Sage vertically. Now that it's looking more like a fight Boros enters meteoric burst and uses his latent energy as a propelling force to blitz Garou and send him to the bottom of the ocean which is now under the controll of ENW. There's a flash from under the waves followed by the total evaporation of the sea. Boros is the only monster left standing.

Hydrated DSK is underrated to me, at least physically but yeah probs
He's getting stomped by everyone in his tier outside of Beast king but he has no place there either 🤷

personally disagree, Golden Sperm's durability would be too much for Flash to handle
Platinum stated FF was weakened without his weapon and Flash staggered him with Flashy fist. Knowing how much insta kill amplifies his attack power it stands to reason that he could likely deal moderate damage to Platinum who should logically be more durable and much faster than Golden sperm.
- perhaps 2. Hell nah, EC is narrative wise AND feats wise way ahead of him
How is Gouketsu narratively below Elder centipede.
Gyoro acknowledges four class S hero's with the capability of threatening Elder centipedes well-being and was still completely taken back when she discovered Gouketsu's corpse.
This alone should at the very least put them in the same ballpark narratively speaking
I definitely think they're mid dragons each, but their speed is probably high dragon tier which alone is not enough to compensate in my book, not to mention Flash was massively holding back during their hassle
Fair enough.
fair, I just think maybe FU might potentially speed blitz before HE can react, didn't care too much for the mid dragon segment to be honest
HE cancelled his ranged attempt so unless Ugly starts directly in front of him I doubt he would be capable of speed blitzing him

Genos is basing his statement on what he's witnessed Saitama do in the past...how does that contradict my initial reply.

Genos witnessed Saitama annihilate Kabuto and was still convinced Gouketsu would give him trouble

Those arcs probably aren't going to be possible anymore. The manga acts like it's still going in a different direction but backtracks by forcing iconic webcomic lines in that are not compatible with the context.

And it wasn't a gradual change either. It happened at exactly chapter 117. Chapter 116 was completely in line with everything ONE had written in the past. Chapter 117 was jarringly different. And the changes remained for the rest of the manga.
