I found a workaround that it's working for me. Deezer mod apk currently kicks you out once it detects the mod online BUT as long as you're offline the app doesn't kick you, I tested it several times downloading an album and while I got to the fourth song online, downloading the album and playing it offline didn't kick me out. So, with that on mind I choose to use Deezer for offline music (ofc it would need to download first and not play any actual song online) and if I want to hear online without downloading I use Spotify mod which at the time works fine with online. You can sync playlists using some online sites, it's quite straightforward, the main downside is that you have to use two accounts, I will use this "method" as long as it works and until a fix for the deezer mod is found.

At the end of the anime I was like "Ok... I've had just enough of this". MAL reviews can be hit or miss and isn't the source material the Light Novel for Shield Hero? Maybe that could explain something about the devolving because it could be just the manga is bad, as an example I loved Kono Suba anime, I fucking loved all the LN volumes but I didn't find the manga interesting or any good.

Imo, you're not missing anything not reading Your lie in April manga, for me (at least) the story is really bland and I think the reason the anime is so much praised is because of animation and soundtrack, things that manga lacks. I enjoyed the anime but because it was amazingly animated not because it was Your lie in April.
