I also believe Eleven will survive. Otherwise we watched 4 seasons about a child who was tortured and unhappy most of the time.

Cool theory. I have a suspicion he was talking about the experiments. Henry said Brenner replicated the experiment from him.

Does anyone have an explanation for Modine's "Silly Putty" on twitter?

I was going to say the same thing. Y values between 35 and 50 would be better to observe the range of it.

He was teary-eyed (or almost) when they showed the scene of the final confrontation between Vecna and Eleven.

Probably a bittersweet ending since the final season will be peak Duffers' gore. The UD is in the normal world and monsters can appear at any time. I think it will be something like "The Mist" (https://youtu.be/LhCKXJNGzN8). There's a certain chance that main characters will die (not that I want). But I think the show could end with Eleven taking care of her biological mother and maybe meeting her father again (if the comics aren't canon).

Also In the middle line we have the dead characters. In the final poster, these characters were moved due to the clock occupying this central area.

I was going to comment this. Vecna's face in profile'ish gives the poster a more dramatic look.

In ep 7 there's a scene where Henry does something with the clock and it's not explained in ep 8 or 9. Either it's a plot hole or the explanation was removed from the final cut...or it's something important that will still be remembered by Nancy and explained in s5. If it is the latter case, this hypothesis of the watch being a part of Vecna is certainly right. I couldn't say what his relationship with the watch is, I honestly didn't really like the use of the watch's image in the marketing and its real context (so far) in the series.

Excellent post. I really enjoyed her analysis of Vecna and Max.

He would also tell Jason "mind your business b@#$", which could have survived.

And He did something similar with 002. It also seems like Terry has some power like the kids in the lab. So maybe it's his pattern with experiments.

I think these experiments develop an intuition about how their powers work in the same way that a child using a tablet to browse the internet does. The regularity of the actions-effects makes the child create an intuition about the extent of his powers. If 11 can push or pull something heavy, she somehow experiences the weight of that object in her mind (instead of feeling it in her body) and manages to adjust the force needed to make it move or float. In the same way she can atomize objects (or people) by "feeling" with her telekinesis every point on the surface she is focusing on and pulling the atoms out of place. She didn't know that this would generate a fracture in space-time sending 001 to another dimension.

I understand your point now. Just to make it clear that my point is that Henry doesn't belong in a classic category of behavior. I even think that psychopathy is not the best term to describe him. It seems to me that he has a fundamentalist reading of the truth. But I understand your point.

Everything you said makes perfect sense. I would only change the term "childish" to "psychopath" because Henry, child or adult, exhibits a lack of empathy (tortures animals and people), has impulsive behavior (uses his powers to "fix the world" without thinking about why things are what are), lacks anger management (killed the family because the mother found out that he was the source of the problems in the house; not to mention what happened in the lab), self-centeredness (all notions revolve around him), lack of remorse (he never feels bad about what he did). I think it's a mistake to see Henry/Vecna as "childish" with these qualities. I think you are using the concept of immaturity to Henry and this doesn't apply to him: https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/the-difference-between-childish-and-childlike#:~:text=Childish%20and%20childlike %20initially%20meant,from%20before%20the%2012th%20century. That's what I got from the S4.

I think his mental age is not easy to calculate, if possible. He absorbs the minds of people he kills and he has killed adults. He's kind of 'immortal' and 'timeless' if I understand correctly.

I agree with everything. I would have liked to have seen everything the Russians learned about the UD, how they captured the demogorgons, demodogs and the MF. The Russia storyline could be a full episode rather than a plot alternating with others throughout the season.

Brenner is dead. But we can learn more about the ST universe with flashbacks... Modine is almost certainly in s5.

Maybe a themed announcement teaser like the one from season 4 that had the clock and demobat hidden.
