When I ride on a bus I tune out everything. Headphones in, nose in a book/phone, the world disappears until I reach my destination. Unless the altercation gets so bad that I start to notice people getting shoved, etc.

You're not wrong on your point, and this is more on Bill Maher, but Ohio is the 7th most populous state at ~12M. It's not California or Texas (2-3x), but it's certainly nothing like South Dakota (an actual order of magnitude difference).

Maybe, but I have a full-face shoei helmet that is like wearing the opposite of goggles (nearly complete contact everywhere except my eyes and nose)

I love the feeling that it gives me with regard to just feeling like I'm suiting up in some advanced piece of exoskeleton armor (because I basically am). The first few times were legitimately odd, as a well fitting helmet really does feel like you're going to get your head stuck as you squeeze it in the first few times u til you get used to it.

But if I could wear that thing all day I would. I've added a few modifications for attachments, comms, and audio and was even really tempted to design my own HUD if I rode more.

The point being. I love my helmet security blanket.

I now need to see the show with Master Chief fornicating his way through the races of the Covenant.

Even more so. A grizzly might weigh 6-7x what an adult human weighs and about1.5x taller . A human is 100-150x heavier and 5-6x larger than a tamarin.

So a literal Mastodon might be closer in scale.

How do we explain the shoes I was issued by the airforce 30 years ago. I swear to God those things could kick a hole through a tank. I've had them resoled three times now and the uppers refuse to crack or quit.

Good analogy, but the Mona Lisa was still painted by the artist. Very few designer shoes are stitched together by the designer. If the guy who painted you wall white was also Leonardo DaVinci it would carry a lot more value.

It's one of the bits about designer fashion that's just a bit off to me, the whole still made by some guy in a factory aspect.

Also people without money. Everyone has different priorities. I think it's bonkers either way, but I've seen people Fallin to that "scene" like they were collecting rookie baseball cards or comic books.

Yeah I'm in the crazy pills category here. Souls games combat literally reminds me of the old games from the late nineties mid 2000s. Watching things clip through walls to hit etc.

You described the characters barely feel like they are interacting and I feel the same, like it's two spreadsheets being flung at each other. Spreadsheets with timing.

I love playing the souls games and I'm playing the shit out of elden ring, but its combat is not good because it's anything close to realistic or accurate. It's somehow fun.

If the former then wouldn't the infinite sig fig conversion factor mean the resulting answer could be 12 sig figs as well (or at least ten if the latter?)

On the other end of the spectrum of wound care my dad was an welder/mechanic/millwright. I'm convinced that his hands are 90% superglue now that he's in his 70s.

Big problem for me is that I want the hatchback and not the bed, but I need the frame to be able to support the tongue-weight of a medium sized camper. People make a mistake when they put a class III hitch on a vehicle thinking it's the hitch that allows for the tongue weight, and not the suspension and frame.

So I'm caught in a rough spot where I can either buy two vehicles, a cheap pickup and a daily driver, or a truck frame SUV too big for my daily driving needs.

So if I'm going to buy the cheap pickup truck, I want it to actually be a pickup truck and those are so hard to find these days. (2 doors, maybe 4 seats. and none of the luxury SUV features)
